I wouldn't mind a link to the discord if possible. I just started to get back into anime this season and don't really have anywhere to chat about it. Was just going to start Made in Abyss.

Unfortunately, it seems that life keeps him so busy even the Twitter account of Tamerlane (@tamerlane420) had to be closed. At least from all the previous own blog projects he commenced (like https://camonte.wordpress.com/, https://twolongfourtwitlonger.wordpress.com/, https://filmburogu.wordpress.com/) there is one that still thrives even to this day, thanks to close collaborators:

Also this year had Made in Abyss which was decent. It has some beautiful art and music. The story is also darker than what the cutesy aesthetics imply. It's an unfinished story though so be prepared for that.

As a former bookworm and hoarder I could totally sympathise with the main characters

I know about Made in Abyss and its quality. I usually avoid series where the manga hasnt finished yet.

As for cute characters and dark story, Figure 17 remains the best and most complete series. I'd rather rewatch that.

We can also talk about how Sword Art Online is a legitimately enjoyable show and not have to worry about our conversation being detailed by talks of stuff like super aids lol.

Hey there was an anime movie I watched a couple years ago I was wondering if someone could tell me the name? It started off that a girl got hit by a car and she went into hell(?) where there are demons and monsters yet she is the only human so she has to take class and all that

Started watching Elegant Yokai Apartment Life and so far it seems alright. I've been wanting something with ghosts and spirits in a modern setting that isn't Natsume no Yojincho and this one feels like it may scratch that itch.

Also getting caught up with Gintama. I guess this is one last silly arch before the big final battle to close out the series / manga?

Wound up binge watching Aldnoah.Zero over the weekend and thought it was pretty good. Some nice mech designs in that show. On the whole, I wound up being much more interested in Slaine's story than anything that Inaho was doing.

Now I'm plowing through Linebarrel and I'm glad that I stuck it out past the first few episodes. Kouichi was really annoying in those, albeit it his attitude was kind of understandable. Once he became a member of JUDA the show got a lot better and I'm surprised by the amount of humor in it now (Ishigami is hilarious =p). I also like that the show has an art style that was more prominent during the late 90s, which I've always been fond of.

These are actually skipped stories. Some should have taken place even before the point where the new staff took over. But, yeah, considering the quick pacing they're burning through the material, the only thing left will be the final serious arc after this season ends.
