I'm hoping the guy just got leaked the E3 content early and made up the plot based around what you see in the e3 trailer.
Ardyn on throne= 2000 year old king of Lucis. Noctis longer hair and new uniforms= 10 year time jump.

Welp, I broke down and read the plot.

I mean, it could be real? It could also not be real. And of course, it could not be real and actually be a lot worse. This is the guy who was in charge of Type-0

Or maybe she just doesn't know. What a thought.

She said she doesn't know in the other thread.

He didn't write it though, that's Chiba who's doing World of FF as the director, don't know if he is writing the game though.

Based on how long the game has been in development, I don't buy that only the first couple of hours are running properly. Why would they even have a release date if that were the case? They've been delaying the game for so long, what's another few months?

I mean I guess they could be crunching to get it out by September because of the bad press from delays, but that just doesn't sit well with me.

Guys, I finally watched yesterday's Day 0 ATR, and they said on the very beginning they filmed it May 26th. So, as of May 26th, there was footage of the Trial of Titan somewhere out there. We've seen the game played from Game Informer's April coverage.

This dude has to have gotten access to the e3 demo title early then trolled everyone with his interent ego driven BS.

He posted the spoilers on May 24th.

Even so, for Square to film it on the 26th, they already knew that would be the e3 demo, and this would be the e3 intro ATR. I still don't think this dude has any info beyond knowing the e3 demo. Even Square's marketing team knew the Titan mission, and know jack shit really about anything else related to the game itself, at least internally.

Does this mean his info is false?
No, it means that he had access to the demo before it was supposedly filmed, which strengthens his case.

Plus the time jump seems to be supported by the latest trailer. Who knows about the rest, but the pieces are coming together with each new slice of media we get.

How's the time jump supported in the latest trailer, when Prompto turns around and has the same face as he did before the time jump?

Tabata has already said a while back that the whole game was playable from start to finish and definitely made it sound like everything was set in place as far as the story goes. I don't believe that they have a bunch of flashback scenes that they have no idea what to do with like the leaker says...

Square Enix made sequels to all of the Eidos games they blamed for a bad result for their 2013 fiscal year. Square-Enix puts out 4-6 Final Fantasy spin-offs every year between portables, mobile, etc. Square-Enix ports their back catalogue of Final Fantasy titles to every device known to man, and has sold 3.7M units of said back titles on PC alone (according to Steamspy) in the past 3 years not counting FF14.

But yup. If this game doesn't meet expectations, they are totally done with the series.

Welp, If Nomura part is true it's such a shame...
Nomura is a perfectionist while Tabata just wanted to rush the game to completion.

After the demo during the Xbox keynote and the demos for us I'm willing to believe him..
But let's wait and see.

Ever watch Death Note or any other anime? Time flies but the pretty boys gonna stay pretty :p
More like creators of the manga didn't want a radical design for Ligt after drawing him for some time.

Plus the biggest time jump in DN is only 4 years, not that long.

Or he also got early access to the E3 trailer and based the story around that trailer. Who knows.

Is the character between Regis and Ardyn the same one as mentioned in the "leak"? Or am I forgetting some other character that's already been revealed?
the so-called leaker said:
is pic related still in the game -> pic http://i.imgur.com/809NrhX.jpg
He's not. If he is, it's literally some unrecognizable unamed side role.
In that case, this whole thing has been confirmed false by the E3 banner.

That old cooc is Lunas dad no?

BTW I hate that I gave in and read the spoilers*

Seriously disappointed, has anyone come up with a good argument to disprove it's validity?

Some parts sound exaggerated, but it's kinda what I expect from SE at this point.

It's not like games getting released unplayable is anything new this gen, lol.

I refuse to read the story spoilers, but I wouldn't mind if it's bad as long as the journey (and the actual game) are enjoyable.

What worries is me is
the empty map, Lucis only being the final dungeon and not explorable, and there only being a few towns and cities.

Here's the Nomura dream I am/was expecting based on what Nomura said about the game:
  • Old fashioned Kingdoms, cities, villages : The four great nations that originally received protection from the crystals are Lucis, Tenebrae, Solheim and Accordo – and together with Niflheim and several other cities and towns – make up the vast world of FFXV. Forests and desert wastelands are also in the game, as well as shops where you can buy things.
  • Airship and cars: It’s possible to fly airships over the world just like in older Final Fantasy titles. You'll be able to drive a car, ride mechs, tanks and Chocobos as well.
  • NPCs: No specific mention of them aside from shopkeepers, but seeing as we're going to visit cities and towns I highly doubt there won't be.
  • Also, this game will be a lot more open-ended, and will feature way more landscapes and terrain variety than FFXIII.
Regarding the fields, it's not a completely open world. It's like the 2D FF games but in 3D. Players will find a big world map with vast fields where they will be able to explore as far as the eye can reach except the mountains. Terrain diversity is much more detailed and vast than in Final Fantasy XV. Nomura says that the game will probably have more natural landscapes than Final Fantasy XIII does.

Info complied from a plethora of diverse sources (including this website) at mognet central.

No he the current leader of the empire that's invading Lucis. Luna from another kingdom entirely.

Even with Tabata rushing the game it still took a lot of years to get out. Nomura wouldn't have never finished it, if what you say is true.

Nothing surprising about any of this to me. I always expected the game to be horrible. Modern Square doesn't have the talent or visionary oversight to make games on the level that made Final Fantasy popular to begin with.

The series is all about feeding trends and flashiness now. Can't blame them though. That is what people have shown they will buy. Make is look pretty and dramatic. That's all that is needed. I expect similar results from the FF7 remake as well.

I wonder how much money has been poured into this game at this point, though, given how long it has been in development.

Can't wait for people to start romanticizing Nomura as some kind of genius if the game ends up sucking lol.

It's already happening.

Probably because he's already made, and been involved with, lots of games people like. More than most people can say about Tabata.

I'm sure we will see hands on impressions or video footage of the demo now that the show floor is open very soon. If it happens to involve "going through mini dungeons as Titan whailing at you", well...

What Skilletor said, it's probably because Nomura's made several great games that lots of people love. It seems to me that a lot of the fans hanging on to XV would have been willing to wait the extra time to get a Final Fantasy by him- myself included.

That said I'm not putting any nails in any coffins for XV yet, but yeesh there's no denying this E3 has been pretty darn bad for it so far. Here's hoping they have more content, good content, to bring to the table.

If the feeling many have about the game, its history and what that guy said are true.. That really means FFXV was some kind of kamikaze game for SE.. A hell dev that never really knew where to go, but the more it's going on, the more SE is throwing all its money at it.

Look at how they did a fucking cgi movie to promote it...
It's like a strategy where you're losing in a casino but you think if you burn all your money you'll win eventually at some point..
