2.The whole game was made entirely in Dreams.
3.Dream shaping (world building)
4.You can share everything you make and collaborate with other people.
5.You can download other people's creations and play or use them as assets in your creations.
6.The most intuitive 3D creation software.
7.You can make music in-game or you can sample your own sounds as well.
8.Real world applications.
Bonus:
*Couch coop
*VR functionality

Not sure if these reasons are enough to "change the PS4 forever" but it's pretty impressive stuff none the less . MM are really raising the level of the amount of freedom they will be giving to creators this time. Can't wait to see what the community will make with this game!

I'm curious to see how creators will react to that feature. I remember that Project Spark was heavily built on the concept of "remixing" the creations from other players, and that it wasn't well received at all (some people considered they were having their work stolen from them).

I'm not sure where but I heard that the original creator is credited. I don't know if that means every level will have credits or what, but I could swear I heard them talk about it.

Everything you create is attributed to YOU. You can even follow ALL the creations that use whatever you made. You can also disallow things you've made to be used.

This is my most anticipated PS4 game. I loved LittleBigPlanet but I never invested much time in the creation tools. I alway felt that you could only assemble levels using predefined elements for the most part, and not creating something based on your own designs. But Dreams should allow me to make a full game from scratch the way I want. Very exciting.

I wonder if MM/Sony will allow for some form of monetization for creators. Making a good game takes time and while people have done great things in LBP, I think some sort of financial incentive would do wonder for the development of truly polished 'dreams'.

Perhaps, if Mark Healey gets his way:

It is theoretically possible for a Dreams creation to exist as a separate game in itself. Creative director Mark Healey, one of Media Molecule's founders, told me that his personal dream is for some kid to make something in Dreams that Sony then releases as a game.

It's not Sony saying this, no matter how hard you want it to be.

They work for sony right, so yes they speak on behalf of sony. So yes they are sony.
If you can provide some info showing that they dont work for sony, I will happily edit my post, but as far as im aware PlayStation access do work on sonys behalf.
Its like when inside xbox worked for Microsoft and they spoke for Microsoft on xbox related things, or even major nelson.

OK, OK. If you want to see it that way in order to say 'I thought Sony said it would change the PS4 forever' later on after it releases, continue. Myself and others will simply repeat what we've said above.

No, i probably wont remember, nor would I be that petty, im simply saying because they are sony,if PlayStation access were not working for sony I would not say they are.

And even if someone did mention this after dreams released what is wrong in calling out sonys hyperbole marketing? Are we not allowed to or something?

Why are you so bothered by this?

It's not Sony hyperbole. I wouldn't be 'bothered'. That's the wrong word. I'd just be annoyed in having to correct the same thing yet again.

Definitely going to be one of those games where you wont want to play anyone's dreams at launch lol

Yeah, it will be like LBP in that regard. We'll probably see some great sculptures and artwork, as well as some decent music, but the majority of environments and shorter gaming experiences will be quite simplistic. Once the community learn to use everything, we'll see huge leaps in quality. I'd give it three months at least before we're blown away by a new game mechanic or well conceived character/level.

You have not corrected anything, you have not even comfirmed that PlayStation access does not do PlayStation Uk's media.

So if you're going to disagree with someone at least bring some evidence to prove your point.

All I could find is this

https://uk.linkedin.com/in/hollie-bennett-0b144a29

Which confirms PlayStation access is part of sony interactive entertainment.

...lacks reading comprehension.
The game that kills Media Molecule. They will fail like all other "games" that are basically editors. Because there will be 99 % trash, there is no creativity. I mean why create a game in Dreams when I can do that with Unity and Blender for free - and even sell them? Procedural content is already bad, user created content is much worse. And there were some seconds in the video that showed what seemed like a massive UI despite saying it will all be easy. So yeah, I appreciate what they are doing but it will be the final nail in their coffin after LBP2 and Tearaway.

PlayStation access does the UK PlayStation channel, so they are sony owned.
They used to be a part of the Yogscast company but the name was then taken over by We Are Reach LTD. I'm not aware of any change since then but they have always been a third part company as far as I'm aware, even though PlayStation Access obviously only deal with PlayStation type content.

The three male members of the company (Nathan, Rob & Dave) are actually the directors of that company and show on Companies House as each owning between 25% to 50% of We Are Reach LTD. I do know that in the past Hollie was essentially a third party contractor to the company. That may well have changed by now though, I'm not sure.

To think 3+ years in development and we could of had LBP4 by now... seems ri$ky.

Thank you, so does that mean sony does not own them?
I still would not trust them in being inpartial.
Anyway, weather they work for sony or not, the video title is still rather cringeworthy in my opinion.

Look, seriously, Access work independent of Sony and always have. Of course they are 'associated' with Sony because they cover PS branded hardware and now they're more successful will have even more access behind the scenes, but please stop trying to use what they say as some indication of what Sony would say as a corporation. I find it extremely 'sad' that you feel it necessary to credit Sony with what you consider 'hyperbole' in order to create some kind of negative concerning what is welcome news.

Sony never said this, Access said this, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them expression this opinion.

They're listed a Limited Company with the three directors having sole ownership of the company, if Sony was involved in the company on that side of things it would need to be registered.

I looked into this a while ago as I just like to know with channels like this that deal with a single platform how independent they are. All three consoles have, I suppose what you could call "platform specialist channels" and I think it's always best to ask. I mean even if a channel was run by the platform holder that they deal with wouldn't necessarily mean that it was a bad channel but it is always worth bearing it in mind.

Could they be biased and oversell Sony games? It's certainly possible but it's possible for any company even if they deal with the whole spread in terms of gaming.

Having been a bit of a fan of the channel for a while it seems unlikely to me that they would say something is the bets thing in the world if they didn't believe. In part because the company is called We Are Reach LTD rather than PlayStation Access which would suggest to me that at some point down the line that they may be hoping to expand into other channels and possibly so "platform exclusive" channels and I just can't image that building a reputation of not being honest would really help them in the long run.

I would assume that in some ways that they are covering what Sony want them to because if they're invited to a Sony event, they're going to cover whatever they're shown.

Ok let me refrase for you then

Sure sony associated media....

Happy now.....

It is clear as day that PlayStation access is biased towards PlayStation.

And the title "8 ways dreams will change PS4 Forever" is some extreme hyperbole

And I aint trying to create some negative concern, I am simply stating my opinion on the video title.

And if you dont like it then that is your problem, we are allowed to have different opinions

And dude come on, you really think dreams is going to change your PS4 Forever!!!

Give me a break.

Man 'O' man, Access is a friendly Youtube channel for Playstation fans. NO, I don't think Dreams with 'change PS4 forever' but Dave does and he's a lovely guy. I know I've been a little off with you and I apologise, but, come on, it's ALL just a bit of FUN.

Give us a break. You're the one derailing the thread stating Sony was responsible for something they're not.

I have absolutely no interest in this game, but it's not even that cringeworthy of marketing, let alone 'extreme hyperbole'. It's just another marketing statement. For a game trying to push boundaries, it's fine... it tells me they're trying to do something new, and here are 8 things. Cool.

Sounds like a BuzzFeed title.

On topic though, I didn't like LBP at all due to the floaty jumping, but this looks really damn interesting. Curious to see what people come up with.

This project is exciting but it would depend on how its post release is handled. Sony has to pull out all the stops. In fact, I do not think it should be platform exclusive because its got huge potential

I'm terrible at creating stuff, but I'll definetely be playing in maaaany levels people create. This looks insanely complex, I bet many types of different gameplay styles and levels will be possible to develop.

Lmao asking others why they’re bothered yet you’re on some crusade to talk down their game and choice of words
