They're active at night, which they shouldn't be, so presumably these are unusual Titans.

the Beast Titan was probably involved too

Firefly was a live-action space western created by Joss Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, writer/director of The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron), which originally aired on Fox before being cancelled after one season. It later got a theatrical follow-up, Serenity, which served the purpose of being a last-ditch effort to save the series, as well as wrapping up the main story. Though it has more in common with Cowboy Bebop in respect to how grounded it is, the influence that Outlaw Star had on it is pretty obvious (up to and including plenty of Chinese influence in shaping its universe, though of course the Chinese were still a factor to some extent in Bebop as well).

Still a great show and movie, though.

Wow, it's VERY different from the first episode. Not to mention Hilda wasn't in disguise or shot Gene after they arrived at their destination.

........also, you can tell this is a seinen with the fact the naked women have pubic hair drawn.

Pirate fighter pilot's "damn" changed to "blast".

Dialogue changed so Gene and Jim are playing Go Fish instead of Poker.

You know, I just realized, back when SDC was written and set, Hong Kong was still part of the United Kingdom.

Not relevant or anything, just weirded me out a little.

As depressing as the end of tonight's Lupin was, I would still say that it was easily one of the best episodes of the new series overall (it felt more in line with the older works in the franchise).

Outlaw Star is gorgeous in hd. I don't think I noticed how nice the painted backgrounds were before. Although, there are scenes in space throughout the series that always stood out. The "treasure room" in the galactic leyline, in particular, was a favorite of mine.

I love it too. Very nostalgic.

I bought the cd mini single a few years back. One side of the case has art similar to that found in the ED.

One thing about Outlaw Star's content is that I'm pretty sure it gets toned down significantly after these first episodes regardless of Toonami edits, hot springs episode aside.

Considering they showed full ken doll level nudity on Jim Jam last night the only thing they're going to edit out are nipples, which only show up rarely on Outlaw Star.

i wonder if there will be a digital version

so i was thinking last night as i often do after shippuden about all its wasted potential and to be honest i still think the best thing Kishimoto could've done is make Sasuke Naruto's rival from another team and not his brother figure from the same team. i mean seriously he doesn't develop their relationship nearly enough in part 1 to justify why they're so hung up on each other.

I mean he still wouldn't fix the issue about them being hung up with each other, so you need to change more than that
