Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
It's an unintentionally hilarious game at times. It's also fun, but don't take it too seriously. I'd recommend it, especially if it comes out at that $39.99 price.
Heh, as I was about to ask if it provided any humour : ) Thanks.

So that's 10 games for NA this week:

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition (12th)
Pan-Pan (14th)
Kingdom: New Lands (14th)
Semispheres (14th)
Quest of Dungeons (14th)
Beach Buggy Racing (14th)
36 Fragments of Midnight (14th)
Spin Master (14th | Neo Geo)
Robonauts (15th)
NBA 2K18 (15th)

Is NBA 2K18 confirmed for 15th? On other platforms, that's the pre-order date, and there has been some confusion about whether it's even possible to pre-order the Switch version.

As far as I know that's still the date for the digital version, but someone else can correct me if I'm wrong. The physical version's coming October 17.

Ah, maybe I misunderstood what I read previously. It would be great if it is available on the 15th.

Got 14 hours of driving to look forward to this weekend. Any suggestions for charming and immersive games to play on 3DS? I like RPGs mostly but Action RPGs are great too.

Don't know when you are leaving but there are demos of EverOasis and Monster Hunter Stories. The former is a short demo and is okay. The latter took me almost 5 hours to beat the demo and you carry that progress into the game and I am loving MHS.

So my vote is Monster Hunter Stories but just know it isn't 3rd person action game, it is an RPG.

Why hasnt Square released Dragon Quest Heroes I & II in NA and Europe on Switch?

If they are worried about the large cart size prices, just release it digital only

Dragon Quest Heroes II has been out in the west since April on PS4 and Steam

They can't decide whether they actually want to support the series in the west or not.

I’m downloading the Octopath demo now.

Also, there’s a page for Arcade Archives Mario Bros. in the EU shop and the font and banner match the ACA Neo Geo games exactly.

Are the Rayman load times as big of an issue as people were making them out to be?

Also, anyone here doing a largely physical collection for Switch? I've been keeping up with most of the releases, but I'm contemplating working towards a near complete collection. Although, that means I have to buy Cars 3, <snipperclips is digital only!>, and 1,2,Switch *shudder*.

I knew Pan-Pan was arriving fairly soon, but that must be the shortest announcement of an eShop game ever. 3 hours before availability or something?

Has there been any word on the US price?

Edit: According to nintendo.com, $59.99. Why you gotta be so greedy in EU, 2K? Was maybe going to pick this up on US store anyway, but now I'm considering skipping purely on principle.

Any feedback on Lightspeer and Blue's Journey. Both look interesting but I'm wondering if anyone here has played either of them.

Not sure if I'm too late with this, but regarding Blue's Journey...

It's a cute little game, very bright and colorful, but not very long or challenging. Your main attack is to flip over enemies, and then you can pick them up (stacking multiples if you want) and throw them. There are also alternate bomb and boomerang attacks available. You can also shrink your character to jump farther and access certain areas, but you cannot attack while small.

The game has alternate routes, with 6 worlds in total, although you will only play through 4 per game (unless you find the hidden travel agent, aka warp). Speaking of which, there are hidden shops and houses throughout, with an assortment of items to buy and characters to talk to (some characters just give info, while others do various things such as play a mini-game, etc.) There are also multiple endings based on what you do during the game.

The game has lots of charm but unfortunately also has one of the worst English translations imaginable. It's a bit incomprehensible at times. I find that the text also goes by too quickly in the English version.

I'd say this game is not for everybody, with it's overly cute aesthetic and simple gameplay, but definitely worth a try if this type of platformer seems interesting to you.

Hey thank you! Sounds like something I would like. I'll check it out.

Anyone tried out Lightspear yet?

Lots of stuff this week. Not sure what all to grab.

I was watching a purported Switch trailer and there was a mouse pointer…?

How does this game play?

The mouse pointer was odd, but the game does support full touch screen control.

The game itself is excellent. It's all about interacting with the world and discovering its rules and story through the environment. There were some people to talk to in the first screen, but it was just gibberish as they pointed at something that meant nothing to me right now.
