amazon.co.jp regelt die komplette zoll geschichte für dich. manchmal bekam ich danach auch noch ne erstattung von denen, weil sie zu viel berechnet hatten. ich bestell dort inzwischen auch meine küchenmesser

It's where I'm flying in/out but I can take a train somewhere else. I thought it was a big enough town that there's things to do there also.

Some also say that it has the best night club culture, bars and concerts in Germany..

I'd recommend the classics like Reichstag, Berlin Wall with the EastSideGallery, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Museum of Medical History at the Charité among other things.
You can go from Frankfurt to Kassel via train in like 1,5-2 hours.

It's comparatively easy to get anywhere in Germany. Kassel in particular is pretty close and should be on the ICE high speed line. Just try the DB (Deutsche Bahn) App/Site.
I think Documenta ist also still going on in Kassel.

Yeah, I figured it was but didn't want to take anything for granted since we don't really have much public transportation.
Documenta looks really cool but I won't be in Germany until April next year. Appreciate the suggestion though.
Frankfurt is a very boring city. Make it a day at the most and then get out of there asap. If it's your first Germany trip, hit up trip advisor or similar sites and look for things that interest you in the places you want to visit. If you want to go to Berlin, maybe take an overnight train or (and I really only recommend this if budget is an issue) Flixbus *shudder*

Yeah, I guess I'm just kind of surprised it's so boring. I've been before for 6 months but it was mostly in the southwest that I was living so that's the only reason I was looking more northward for things to do. Didn't really get to do much in Bavaria so need to do that at some point and then any other cool cities to hit.
