Kojima will no longer be a Konami executive from April 1st + KojiPro is no more?

Wasn't he just appointed last year?

Edit: That list you showed didn't show content officers I think. Only positions that are changing.

... hereby announces the following executive appointments.

You got me worked up over nothing, OP.

WAIT! I doubt he's leaving Konami. Like someone said above, he's probably just stepping back into a more creative position. I mean, he has to give us Silent Hills after all. DON'T YOU FUCK ME OVER ON THIS KOJIMA

Nope. lol

There's no such thing as "creative" at Konami anymore.

What is the point of this blatantly racist post, RealityPales?

I can understand if he is moving into another position, but seems they are restructuring Kojima Productions worries me as well.

If Kojima Productions went independent so many MGS fans would get second jobs to directly support a member of the team.

There wasn't a thread when I checked so I posted some tweets and information on the MGS V thread. I'll just quote it here

I posted this in a different thread in a community BBS,
and I'm not sure if this rumour deserves a thread but is anyone aware of the rumour that Kojima Production might disband after MGS5?

Either way, I can't seem to post a new thread probably because I'm new here,
so I thought I'd post in this thread.

This started popping up today and people started saying,
Koji-Pros logo is gone from the official MGS website.
And Koji-Pros twitter account is also being deleted and is going to move to metalgear_jp.
And one more interest thing is that Kojimas name is gone from the Konami Personnel list.

I'll quote some Tweets between Japanese users regarding this.

Someone mentioning that there isn't the Koji-Pro logo on the MGS official website anymore.

https://twitter.com/524Ryo/status/578487011801075712

Someone posting a public document of the Konami Personnel list and mentioning Kojima isn't on the list anymore.
https://twitter.com/bubble_sayu_ken/status/578493324941635585

Someone summarising the situation.
https://twitter.com/anesa0204/status/578498825150541824

A person named "Junk-Hunter Yoshida" (he seems to have a Japanese wikipedia page on him)
mentions that this will be the final year of major Japanese devs moving away from consoles
and also mentions that Koji-Pro might disband after MGS5 releases.
https://twitter.com/Yoshidamian/status/577761486358982656

If this deserves a thread, could someone make one?

Konami must've been like "We'll give you Ground Zeroes, but you've got one year to get The Phantom Pain out of the door or you're all fired", and Kojima must've thought they were bullshittin'.

I'm hoping this is true just to see the aftermath xD

Yoooo this is worrying. I'd have expected Kojima to leave Konami... but dissolving Koji-Pro rather than renaming it seems a bit odd.

Kojima knows that realistically, Konami won't allow him to make anything big budget that is not called MGS. He's a big name so it's plausible that another company said come here, we will give you the budget to make another big IP. He will take his crew with him as well, at least some of the big boys which explains disbanding the studio. Dude's got so much pull in the company though it would be crazy to see him leave, he couldn't have it any better at another company. I don't think he's the one that would turn to mobile either, he seems to like the big budget flashy titles.

Makes sense, except the Wii U part.
