Star Wars |OT| I have a very good feeling about this...

Mace definitely needs some character rehabilitation after the whole Ahsoka thing.
Not to dogpile on him but I already thought he was boring as hell in the movies but then they just made him flat out unlikeable throughout The Clone Wars to the point I was almost ready for his demise by the end.
Still wouldn't mind seeing him come back though - landed on some speeder like Anakin did in II and live the rest of his life in hiding. Maul was far worse and blatant.

Mace Windu is a hideously vapid and uninteresting character who's only attained any kind of following because he happens to have been played by Samuel L Jackson.

I mean, try putting him through the Plinkett test:

Now it's Cassian and K2SO's turn:

StarWars.com is excited to announce Star Wars: Rogue One — Cassian & K-2SO Special #1, coming in August from Marvel. Written by Duane Swierczynski with art by Fernando Blanco, the 40-page one-shot will reveal how Cassian, one of the top intelligence officers of the Rebel Alliance, met K-2SO, a reprogrammed Imperial security droid. Check out the cover below by Julian Totino Tedesco, which finds the duo back-to-back, ready for battle.

I loved the both of them so count me in tbh.

I love one shot series. I feel theres no commitment and that i wont fall behind on issues. They also cram allot of story into one issue and then finish it off with some closure. The poe series got dull and i ended up falling back. So now im waiting for the trades. This one looks like it could be pretty rad.

I absolutely loved Cassian and K2 in Rogue One, I'd do anything for those two to get a story driven game with Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk voicing the characters. I'd also take a really well written novel.

Cassian needs a full series for himself. Cut the Poe series and do something about Cassian as Fulcrum.

That or do his family as Separatists during the Clone Wars.

Just re-watched Rogue One for the first time since seeing it in the theaters. I maintain it is in the top 3 of Star Wars movies.

While I'm linking YouTubes:

The Boston Pops just dropped an album paying tribute to John Williams, that's supposed to be celebrating 60 years of his film music, but is more like "some shit you probably didn't know he did and then basically the back half of The Force Awakens score"

Which is cool, because the Pops (which Williams used to run once upon a time) are performing some very cool concert arrangements of those tracks.

Specifically: The Jedi Steps (which sounds a LOT like Star Wars by way of Indy's Map Room)

and

Scherzo for X-Wings (which is a WAY livelier arrangement)

Vanity Fair's must-read cover story for The Last Jedi is up with lots of new images and info.

Summary:
- Laura Dern is Vice Admiral Holdo and we finally get a look at that long rumoured pink barnet
- Benicio Del Toro's playing the mysterious DJ (real name to come)
- Rose's sister, Paige, flies for the Resistance as an X-Wing pilot and shares scenes with Poe
- Canto Bight is one of the new planets - Monte-Carlo-esque casino planet
- Leia has a lot more screen time than in TFA

That rod is how she stopped the trash compactor from squishing her. Now she has an unimaginable connection to it and thinks it will lead to the First Orders victory.

It does seem a little pointless, yeah. She's got on two layers that between them cover like 85% of her arms. Why not just... join them at the shoulder?
