ME3 wound up having one of the best mp modes this gen, and I actually liked NG3's mp, so I will give this a chance. I am just worried how they will balance it, so many of Kratos' attack launch enemies into juggle combos. I dont see how that would work for competitive mp.

I don't care about multiplayer. But having a shorter campaign then the other god of wars is crazy. I'm hoping they mean like 10 minutes shorter or something. I beat GoW 3 in like 6 hours.

GoW 3 was of average length... Making the game shorter may well be a compromize for multiplayer given how long some of the SP set pieces take to make

They say it around the same time but some people beat games faster than others once SP around 6 to 7 hours and they add more replay this time i not worry .

Was just making a jab at one of the devs saying that SP isn't being compromised for MP and vice-versa and then going on to confirm that the game is going to be really short. So basically even if they didn't have MP, the SP would still have been that short?
I think the game looks good though, but they can't tell me with a straight face that it's going to be some worthwhile single player experience.

I'll just throw this out there but I'd have taken a slightly shorter GOW3 if it meant they kept up the fantastic first hour or two of the game across the whole package

Multiplayer isn't the "new" people wanted from the next game. The "new" is a completely new direction AFTER God of War 3. Not God of War 0.5, retreading the whole "ARES YOU PRICK" story, with a shorter single player mode and some fancy new multiplayer modes. Shaking up the gameplay here and there might be all well and good but I think you misunderstood the complaints.

basically this multiplayer cost $20 and just for $40 you'll get an awesome single player GoW4 (that is a little bit short than previous GoW, but you get it for cheaper so it all work out hehe..)

I will agree with this but all it means to me is that GOW3 had a number of very boring sections. And if you trimmed those out, you'd get something an hour or two shorter out of an already very short product. For me that's a rental at best.
I addressed this above. Like I said, I think the game looks good. I think the visuals are great and multiplayer could be some fun. I'm just talking about the single-player as a singular component. The guy said that neither mode is being compromised for one another, but if that were the case, wouldn't the single player have a lot more meat to it?
Anyway, pointless concern I suppose as it doesn't sound like the game will be a lot shorter than the others.
That's pretty much what went through my mind as well when i first read the OP, its a bit like the bitching over Playstation Allstars.
Some people are just constantly miserable bastards who like to complain, if it wasn't this it would be something else.

speaking of GoW psp games. both GoW psp is shorter than console GoW. I sure hope when he said just a little bit shorter, he compare it to GoW console and not even shorter than GoW psp games.
even on console the length varies, I think GoW2 is the longest. GoW3 is kinda similar to GoW1 lengthwise.

Well from what he is saying it seems to me like they are nailing down their direction now. So that should make for a much better paced game hopefully. I know with GOW3, they didn't nail that down till it was almost finished. It was kind of like they had a series of disconnected pieces that they put together as the game wrapped up development. And it really felt like that when you played it.
I personally don't subscribe to the quantity argument. I can't stand games that are too long. My favourite games tend to be a bit shorter, but they are always the games that are expertly paced and leave me satisfied upon conclusion
