There's still a new Pokemon game coming out for 3DS though, nintendo has said that there's a Pokemon for their three platforms coming out in the future. I'm guessing they were referring to:

Wii - Pokepark 2
DS - Nobugano's Ambition x Pokemon
3DS - Pokemon Gray and/or Ruby and Sapphire remakes

I was hyped for a moment, thinking about a RTS for 3DS, with DW elements... I was dreaming about launching Pikachu troops to kill em all... while I was fighting 1 mirrion bidouf in Dynasty Warriors style...
Then I saw it was for DS, and it looks like a simple T-RPG with Pokemon...

no I meant in terms of visuals, becoming less top down. More tree dee. Eventually leading to the full fledged third person adventure pokemon MMO.
