frenchy from Netphoria and Blamonet was kind enough to do the JC interview translation, but I cleaned up his spelling and grammar a bit because I can't stand the engrish. I didn't add or remove anything, just cleaned it up.

Hahaha, I like the fact that Josh, Dave, and Taylor are all good friends with Jimmy. Four of the most talented, hardest hitting drummers in rock all get together for rounds of beers. It's almost picture-esque. =)
Interesting interview. Makes me wonder if they're still in talks with D'arcy and Iha with regards to them joining back. Considering APC is kaput, unfortunately, I hope Iha reconsiders. Otherwise, I guess it doesn't bother me much if Billy and Jimmy are the only original Pumpkins members as they were the key ones to begin with.
I am eagerly awaiting for new songs from them. I hope we don't have to wait much longer and this doesn't fall apart.

I don't know what I'm looking forward to more: a new Smashing Pumpkins album or a new JCC album. I sincerely hope he keeps his intention to record a second JCC album because it was one of the best records I've heard in a long, long time. He makes some great comments about the interaction between drummers and the lyrics of a song; it's spot on if anything. JC manages to match things up perfectly, and some of my favorite songs are where his drumming quietly sits in the background but it still retains this kind of subdued power to it (the classic Set The Ray To Jerry being a good example off the top of my head).
You can look forward to both of them just as much really, because they're both on the horizon. I really hope there are more instrumentals on the next one, less poppy songs. A couple wouldn't hurt, but let's go full on Jazz, Jimmy!

As FLAC it was ~175MB and both YSI and megaupload have a cap now.
FLAC really isn't a big deal here, it's just acoustic demos, nothing too complex to compress. So here they are as mp3's.

Encoded with LAME 3.96.1, preset standard. Bitrates look pretty low overall because the tracks don't really have any complex frames or anything.

I remember that my best friend moved to Alabama for college and ended up dating a girl who I had been talking with online about SP for a couple years. That was too surreal.

This news of Eric Avery is giving me a REALLY good idea of what the next Pumpkins album is going to sound like, and it's not Machina or Zwan, dudes.

I'm starting to think we can expect a more heavy but psychedelic sound, like vintage Pumpkins. But with better drumming (Jimmy's improved a lot over the past few years) and more solos. And, oh yeah, better bass. Make it happen.

No female bassist to me says they aren't fucking around. They could get another female bassist on board to continue the tradition that could look appealing to potential new fans or whatever, but this tells me they're looking for someone really talented above all else.
I do recall Billy telling Melissa point blank that she would "never have anything to do with the creative process" of the band or something like that. Besides Rock On, anyway.

listening to pistachio medley for the first time in a while... man i would pay top dollar for an album with these songs completed. how can corgan have these locked up somewhere and not let these songs grow to their full potential? i know a lot of this stuff is just outtakes, bits and pieces of stuff, but he needs to release an album with this style of music. its top notch!
Those were just demos... I'm pretty sure they completed a lot of them and they are completed songs, buried somewhere.
There is an interview with Chamberlin I used to have from early last year. Sadly, I lost it. It's from a college radio station using some really obscure audio codec.
Not only does he say he would love to do the Pumpkins again (meaning they had this reunion in mind for a long time), he ALSO said something like they wanted to come out with four or five boxsets, one released every year. Each boxset would have a bandmember put emphasis on whatever it is that they wanted in the boxset or something like that. Not sure if they will be able to do it like THAT if only two original members are back. Regardless, since he mentioned it with the intention of wanting to do SP again... I think it's safe to say these boxsets will become a reality in one way or another. They have tons of material if we're talking 4 or 5 boxsets here.

He told some girl at a bar like a year and a half before we even heard about this particular band that he was working with Billy in Zwan (she then posted this on Netphoria later that week). He is always loyal to the fans and really doesn't hold anything back at all. Except the bandmates thing, but that might not be his call anyway.

yeah jimmy is a good guy. when we chased billy/yelena/zwan on the freeway to the chateau mormon or whatever the **** it's called jimmy was the only one who was really cool with us when we got there. billy had us escorted away
i would buy every SP boxset! man too bad darcy isn't coming back. everything would be right with the world. i'm sure anyone who takes her place is more talented, but there is just something about having her there that would be cool

Darcy is a good bassist when she's not hitting the bottle and/or smoking crack, sadly she did this more than we think throughout the entire first run, I fear (I'm talking 1988 all the way up to the day she quit). Take note of her bassplaying during the Adore tour, it was excellent. Probably because Jimmy getting kicked out was a wakeup call to her.
Darcy and Jimmy never got along... didn't she say something like she enjoys drum machines because "they don't talk back" :lol

after a zwan show we followed billy/yelena/jimmy/david pajo to wherever they were going (we already knew they were staying at the chateau on sunset). anyways that ****ing whore yelena tried to lose us but we kept up fine. then when we got there jimmy and pajo said thanks for coming out to the show and signed autographs shook hands etc. billy and yelena had security escort us off the grounds :lol
anyways, darcy was always somewhat of a firecracker. she seemed kind of coo coo. oh well, i hope she is enjoying her horse riding lessons or whatever she's doing now

not really sure what she possibly contributed to the pumpkins music-wise. to my knowledge she never wrote a song that went on an official record. i don't know why someone WOULDN'T want to be in a world famous band again. i understand she needed a break, but it's been over 6 years. you'd think she would want to be somebody again. but maybe she just doesn't give a shit anymore

I don't think she cares. Darcy's ego was just as big if not bigger than Corgan's. She was the only person in the band who could tell Corgan when he was full of shit without there being any problem. Laugh is indeed a great song. Autumn, Drain and Lover are pretty good too. Here I Am sucks, was he channeling his Marked days with the songwriting for that one

Ron recently put some info on Wikipedia about his life, and since he's exposed himself on the Internet, people have been getting in touch with him. I can't confirm if this is legitimate, but it sure seems that way. Here's what he had to say...
