Some reason my save is gone. Plan to start over.

Question is:

mods, yes or no? If so which ones?
Let me dig out the following post:
FINALLY!

Sorry guys for taking some more days than I thought. Finished with Haley yesterday night (at 2am) and, then had to do this morning some edits and wrong things I saw in the other sprite sheets, and edited some of the ingame sprites (like maru having longer hair). So ive been tweaking somethings, made a banner, some txt with intructions and put everything on a tidy package that I hope is easy to understand.

So here it is:
bannersfj5c.png

https://mega.nz/#!9Bh2GToJ!l4vln23PLiUNAmdOFtMaPga8m65WkDmIJGOOquYsQXo

You have a different folder so you can choose the Maru portrait you most like to use in the game (you have to choose one for normal maru and one for Nurse Maru, so you can mix and match what you like).

About making the bachelors, right now, Im not going to do it, even wanting to do this ones, and the end it started being too much work and had to compensate it with my real life work. I also want to play more that game, that I basically stopped playing becuase I was making the mods lol
So yeah, if I make it at the end, is not going to be soon (I also think the ones the game got are particularly good compraed to the some of the females ones).

I hope you like them!

Going to put them also in the mods section at the stardew valley forums.
:)

Got to the bottom of the mines. Feel a bit lost now what to do with my time. Maybe I'll have to socialise with them lot in town. Still I can always go back for mining and items which bring a decent amount in.

Gonna tidy my farm up for the start of winter and a new growing season. Bought all the saplings so they'll grow and produce come their season. Starting to make jam and pickles, along with mayonnaise which are nice little earners. Think I'll upgrade my house again or perhaps buy the bigger chicken coop so I can get ducks. Or maybe a one for bigger animals.

Community centre is coming along nicely. Have one room finished and a fair few others nearly done. Fixing the mine cart was a godsend though. So much quicker to get about.

Not bad for nearly a first year.

Winter is usually my clean up / preparation season, with a lot of socializing sprinkled in for flavor (oddly enough, it's the only season with 9 birthdays too). Hit the mines and forests for wood, start making coal, sneak some fishing in; people tend to dislike winter but I feel like it's a nice little breather before spring rushes in and you're busy from dawn to dusk.

Here's some random comments on your plan;

- After the mines, there's the bottomless skull cave in the desert to explore. It's a solid place to get Iridium, but you have to go down quite a few floors to get there. Explosives (for clearing lots of stone at once) and staircases (for just flat out skipping levels) are your friends.

- Fruit trees will grow during winter, unless something has changed recently. You could plant them now and have them ready to start producing fruit in 28 days.

- If you're upgrading your coop and have the cash, it might be worth it to wait until you have all the materials for the Deluxe version, which has the auto-feeder. That'll make livestock easier to deal with come spring. I'd definitely upgrade the coop before you invest in a new barn; livestock tends to be a time sink.

- The Minecart is totally the best upgrade.

You will hear it first from this one:
Hey guys! for those of you patiently waiting on both Xbox One and Playstation 4 for the 1.2 update that came to PC recently, it's finally here!

Stardew Valley is now available to play in seven different languages; English, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Brazilian-Portuguese! While localization is the main feature of this update, 1.2 also includes controller improvements and important bug fixes. Check the full patch notes here!

If you guys prefer the old way of navigating the interface you can toggle between that and the new snappy controls in the options menu. Personally I find the new snappy controls to be a huge improvement!

I just tend to do 5 levels or so on and off and gradually worked my way down. I haven't found it hard beyond a few times. Like torches help in the later 30s and a better pick axe come 50/60s as rocks take more hits. You can buy better weapons from the guy next to the cave and along the way you get equipment drops to help you.

Oh and whatever you do, don't die :p
It'll set you back loads in levels, money and you lose items so it's probably best to restart the whole day again if that happens.
Died once and now I will now run away when the level turns green.
So far I don't really need the better materials, but will dig deeper in my first winter.

In to my second year now. Upgraded the coop to the deluxe with a silo and have ducks and a bunny rabbit now helping bring in the dollar and supplies. Got the farm running pretty well with little maintaining on my part. Its still pretty small but it's making money at a nice pace. It's great to grow crops again. Trees have grown and are growing fruit and I only have 2 more rooms to finish in the community centre. Gave Leah a 2000 bottle of wine (had to buy one as I couldn't make one yet) for her Secret Santa. Robin gave me 50 stones. I was appalled. I'm guessing the gift is based on relationship status. She was 2 hearts (my highest) so goodness knows what "gift" anyone else would have gotten me. She's off the Xmas list next year!!!

Just got to the desert and the dungeon is super tough. I need better defence but not sure where to get it. I think I have the best boots the Guild sells. I'll buy the Lava Sword next which will help kill them faster but defence seems an issue. Plus is there any checkpoints in this dungeon? One reward is to get to at least level 25 but other than just build stairs every floor I'm not sure how far I'll get doing it normally, which I'd prefer to do as I like exploring the dungeons and getting all the goodies before moving on.

Think I might set up a little bee keeping area next to sell lots of honey. Then maybe a barn so I can produce milk and cheese.

Hehehe, who you get as your Secret Santa and what they give you is random, though Robin's gift pool is the only one with wood and stone.

There's no checkpoints in the Skull Cavern, it resets every time which is why I suggested bringing lots of bombs and staircases to get as deep as you can quickly.

Bees are a great source of income, and the type of honey you get changes based on what flowers you're raising nearby. Poppy and Fairy Rose are the top priced varieties, I believe.

If we don't get it this year then the developers tweet last week was a disgusting trolling tease.

That was Tiy, the founder of Chucklefish. They're working on the ports for Concerned Ape I believe, but I don't think he's personally involved, which makes me hopeful that the screenshot is a hint that they're more or less done and are just testing it around the office for any issues, and we'll see it soon.

At least, that's what I'm hoping.

I mean, they said they were testing. So its pretty likely its nearly done, depending on how many issues they run into I guess. Theres a lot of variables in this kind of game that can cause issues so it could take a while to test fully.

I'm wondering if the multiplayer feature will be patched in later with the Switch release? Multiplayer is coming to PC first, so I've been waiting on an announcement for that before we hear about a Switch release date. But the recent teasing from Chucklefish is making me think that it'll be released before the end of September for sure.

Still enough time for PC multiplayer to be announced first I suppose, but at this stage it feels unlikely.

Yeah gonna need them bombs and stairs for that task. Well I've plenty of stones (no thanks in part to Secret Santa lol) but I'll need that top sword before going further. I'll work on it throughout the spring. Shame there's no checkpoints though.

Ah cool, didn't know about the flowers and honey. I'll have to bare that in mind.

Yeah they only said multiplayer would come to switch first on the console front.

Yep, they're aiming for early 2018 for PC multiplayer (source), which means it'll be patched into consoles after that starting with Switch. I assume the initial plan was to release on Switch with multiplayer, but now that's been abandoned I doubt there's much preventing a release at this point

woohoo, I'm expecting a release to be pretty much imminent then!

Should've got a dog instead.

I knew someone would say that. Nah, cat for life. Even if the idiot does get in my way.

I read that if you equip the scythe and swing it while moving you can pass through animals/people, and that worked.

Moved the pot plant so it won't happen again.

Just about to enter my first fall season, what's the best crop to go for?

Man, all this bumping going on is making me want to play! Haven't played in like a month or two. Even if it's just for a day or two.

Also, sorry I can't answer many questions about best crops. I'm really forgetful when it comes to stuff like that.

I'm about to leave for three week long trip and whether this game comes out determines whether I bring my switch. Pleeeease

Cranberries or Pumpkins?

Cranberries, by a long shot (~18.89g per day), then Pumpkins, Grapes, and Artichokes in that order. Cranberries also continually grow without having to be replanted so, yeah, they're totally the best.

Same. I go to Tokyo on September 4th, hoping against hope this is out before then for that long ass journey (flying from Newcastle in the UK).

At least I will have Mario X Rabbids for sure.

Cranberries it is!

But I should grow a couple of everything right, some for the community centre and some to keep on hand for fetch quests?

Loving this game so far. Just hit level 40 in the mines last night.
Forged some copper bars so I can upgrade my tools, didn't realise he'd take the watering can away though, how long will I be without it? Will my crops die?
Fall is in a day or two so I guess it doesn't matter hugely.

Yeah, my farm has two main fields with full automation (100% sprinkler coverage and manned by Junimos) and then a bunch of smaller plots around it to grow miscellaneous crops in just so I have stuff on hand. I try to keep 5 of everything in my storage shed just in case somebody wants something randomly.

It takes Clint two days (the day you drop it off and one day after) to upgrade a tool. Plants that haven't been watered don't die, but they don't grow / regrow either.

Similar to me. I'm flying to Kuala Lumpur second week of October (from Florida). Flight time with two layovers is 26 hours (22 hours actually on the plane). REALLY hoping this comes out before then.

This game is so addictive, I need it on Vita so I can carry on playing when I'm away from the PS4!
I noticed Vita is listed on the trophy list, does that mean it's definitely coming?

Just about to get a barn up and running. Upgraded my house a second time and will probably get the cellar upgrade next. Money is coming in nicely these days and have a lot of revenue from so many sources. Got all the monster guild tasks completed and have 2 out of the 3 skills maxed out. Only 2 more rooms to finish off in the community centre, just waiting on apples and a couple of other things in the fall. Still haven't bothered to socialise. I'm just not really interested in that side tbh. Enjoying all the rest of it too much and wouldn't have the time yet.

on the 24th September I'm flying to Japan via Singapore.
It's gonna be like 21 hours in the air.

If I don't have Stardew Valley on my Switch for that flight, I'm gonna be pissed.

....please.

Really wish theyd put checkpoints in that Desert dungeon. Sucks the fun out of exploring. Got to level 25 for the reward but only just before the day ran out. Doesn't help the bus doesn't set off till 10 either. Iridiums rare to come by. Wouldn't mind a couple of the top sprinklers to get the farm ticking nicely though.

Got the deluxe barn now so I'll invest in a pig to get me some truffles.

I'm also in the camp waiting and holding out for the Switch version. I wish we at least had a confirmed, set date. Even if it's far off.

Unrelated to that, I heard this game actually has a story with it's town? How are you guys enjoying that?

It's unacceptable that so many months after launch this game is still broken on PS4 Pro.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Someone from Chucklefish said that it is a problem with the OS and that some other games also have this problem.

We currently don't really know who is at fault here.

It's unacceptable that so many months after launch this game is still broken on PS4 Pro.

I've had to game since day one on pro and have had zero issues. Just don't put the game in sleep mode? Seems like a pretty simple solution to me, if you actually really want to play the game.
