More pieces, and thus a higher price, then I had anticipated based on the first pic. But this looks so good, and I can't wait to see the turning mechanic in action. I'll probably bite when there is double or even triple VIP.

PS. The tiger looks so sad ... also the swan in one of the photos. In others its eye tiles are turned around and it has another expression... a more swan like "turn your back to me and I bite your ass " :D

Hints toward the UCS Falcon and the Minecraft Mountain Cave at the start of the designer video.

Not sure what the 3 clone designers is about, but we are also expecting the new Winter Village set.

Only a bit smaller than the GC, but I'm expecting the price to be much more reasonable. So bought on day one. Good thing I passed on Death Star.

Downside... There was a sign that said do not sell till may 1st put on there by management.

My biggest problem with stores, don't put something out on the shelf or in view of the customer if they can't sell it yet.

I just visited a Toys R Us and politely asked if they would sell me some early. They brought out a box and I bought 15. Will open and report on what I got later.

Definitely getting that carousel, beautiful. Animals must be moddable out with basically anything you want, too.

UK GAF, if you're on the fence then you can now get the Technic Porsche for £144 at Tesco Direct, which is £115 off the RRP! Probably never gonna be cheaper.

Yeah, i am pleasantly surprised by the look and piece count of the new Carousel....

Is it overall better looking than GC? I guess not. Will i instabuy this thing once i get the chance, (read=money)? Yup.


Also: Do i want to know where those Dimensions figs pics are from?

somebody on reddit pulled it from a FB profile of somebody else selling those (probably from China)

Also the PotC sharks were being sold before released, so chances are these are real stuff from LEGO factory...

Whoa it seems crazy that the Carousel has significantly more pieces than the Ferris Wheel...all those small detail pieces packed in I guess. All the negative space in the Ferris Wheel really makes it seem like one of the biggest sets ever.

Day 1 though obv

Took me a while (6 months) but my version of Mos Eisley Cantina is now complete! Hope GAF likes it, would love to hear opinions. My goal was not only to show the cantina but get a feel of the surrounding area/market at the same time. I include all shorts of shops, from the Jawas to droid repair shops to engine parts etc., trying to get in as much detail as possible. The second building, is a mini modular fully detailed shop as well.

I just got a VIP email (in the US) and the Speeder date is listed as 5/4.

Correction: it was just a regular email, not VIP specific.

I know I know. You guys are sick of hearing about my Lego scores. Picked up an open box sealed bags 1st quinjet today for $20. When I met the lady she said she found a brand new constraction Captain America inside the box so she threw that in at no additional cost. When I dumped the contents to check it there was a minifig rattling around at the bottom of the box. It was a light blue coat Bilbo that I had always wanted from the Target bluray!

Even with the Star Wars tax that price will put the piece count above 6k. That will be an insane set.

The blue coat Bilbo is what makes this whole story sound like some deal made with a demon at the crossroads. Before that, it was just a lucky find. But adding that figure in just made it crazy.


And back on the rumored $800 set: They better go big on this sucker. Like, same size or bigger as first UCS Falcon, but with fully detailed interior. I want this to crush almost every LEGO record in sight. Biggest physical set. Biggest piece count. Biggest price tag.
Don't see it breaking biggest figure count though.

Oh, and if all that comes true, this better be far and away the clear winner for anyone's set of the year awards, as that price demands nothing short of perfection.

Agreed, and I would HOPE it has a full interior at that price, yikes!
They should include the un-edited original Star Wars films on bluray for that price, haha.

I think the Saturn V rocket will be my big-scale LEGO spacecraft of choice.

That price is crazy even when you add the Star Wars tax ($250 CAD X-Wing). You're looking at $900 or more CAD which is far and away the most expensive set out there.

It better blow the previous Falcon out of the water and have details galore.

I don't buy UCS anyway, so there's no sting seeing that price. I just wanna see the thing 'cause it's gotta be cool as hell. I'll be checking out the youtube speedbuilds for sure.
