Murray breaks back after a long miss by Fed.

Man, Fed really wants this and Murray really wants to knock him out so he doesn't have to play him again.

Murray wins. Fed out; Simon in.

Great match. Incredible rallies. Maybe Murray will regret playing so hard since he's already in the semis. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm sure he didn't want to play with Federer in the finals again, it's great that Murray fight this hard, it honours him.

If only Federer played like this against Simon ... :(

Murray will win this Masters, and we all know it.

Murray leads 4-2 in Head-to-Head now. He seems to have find the way to beat him!
Plus, Murray's backhand is incredible so it's very likely that he's going to give Rafa hard times.

Really looking forward to Next Year!

This is one awful match. Djokovic's UE count has to be in the 50s by now.

He's up a break in the 3rd leading 3-2 to serve.

Djokovic to serve *6-5

Close this shit out for God sakes. But I foresee a breaker.

EDIT: Finally. Novak wins. Good
shitty
job

It's interesting, I've always been under fire as a Scot supporting Murray. Given I live in London, there's no end of English people saying he's rubbish. The interesting part is how easy it's getting to respond - just show them a recent result (case in point, the Federbot match yesteday was a useful tool). He really is just incredibly talented.

Wtf Murray, yesterday looked the strongest of all and today is playing like pure shit.

Edit: Davydenko wins, 7-5 6-2, worst final ever.

Wonder if Murray will just let Fed have this match since he already has a spot in the semis (like Novak did against Tsonga yesterday :lol)

Murray didn't take any of my hints.

Djokovic vs. Davydenko right now.

Novak has played a FLAWLESS game so far. He's up 5-0.

EDIT: 1st set: 6-1 Novak

He's TEN points behind Federer in the ATP rankings. And in the ATP 2008 Race, it's even closer: TWO points behind Federer. :lol

If he went undefeated during the tournament, he'd be #2 in the world right now. This is the 4th time where he was within 1 or 2 matches of becoming the #2 player in the world this year: he had to beat Nadal at Hamburg, then he had a chance if he beat Nadal at the French Open; he had another chance if he beat Federer at the U.S. Open and then subsequently won the tournament, and now.

Federer sees in the New Year with a loss on a tiebreaker to Andy Murray at the World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.

:lol I was watching that match. Murray was up 4-1 30-love in the 3rd set and just fell a part. Fed was trying to mount a successful comeback (came to net quite often) and almost won.

From the BBC live text it seems that Murray's got back problems, which probably doesn't bode well for the final against Nadal (or Davydenko, I guess) tomorrow. Still managed to stop the rot and finish the match - he just doesn't have Henman's natural touch when it comes to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Edit: And, of course, if there's anyone who specialises in inspired comebacks, it's Federer...

Gulbis beat Novak 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of Brisbane. Novak was DREADFUL. His first serve percentage was in the 40s and mentally, it was like he was still on holiday. He usually lets his emotions flow when he makes mistakes but today, nothing. He looked bored. He actually looked HAPPY when the match was over. :lol Gulbis, on the other hand was pretty solid but lost concentration rather easily throughout the match.

I have Gulbis tapped to win the French Open this year, BTW. :) (not saying he'll beat Nadal, just that some how, he'll win :D)

Federer and Murray playing....again. Doha semi-finals. Federer took the first set 7-6(6). Neither player's serve was broken.

Nadal lost earlier too, Monfils beat him. From what I hear Monfils played ridiculously well, but even so Nadal really needs to step up his game on hardcourts if he wants to stay number one; he should at least be able to get to the final four so he can lose gracefully to Murray or Federer (or Djokovic if he ever emerges from his slump).
