Loved both the Montreal and Tangiers episodes. The tajine looked delicious.

I've met and drank with him and his team. It did not end well.

As an alcoholic, I look forward to this meeting.

That opening meal with the Joe Beef guys is insanely decadent.

Most of the Quebec stuff seemed like mindless overkill. I mean, not every dish has to feature foie gras and truffles, does it?

Libya has amazing geography and history and for that I would love to visit. Food? Not so much. I didn't feel anything Anthony tried today jumped at me and made my mouth water. Tangier on the other hand, omg. The food had me craving bad. It looked incredibly tasty, spiced and textured. Morocco wins the food department so far on the show IMO. The city itself was really romantic, especially the old city part.

Favors him a little and even sounds like him.

A reputation as 'the best restaurant in Canada'

We'll see about that...

So far, I've liked all the episodes except for Koreatown.

Camera work was indeed excellence incarnate same as all on the tech front---but for me the episode itself fell short by virtue of perhaps the least amount of time spent on cuisine of any since it started. I didn't know where it was going after The Greatest Show Ever, but oh well.

I haven't watched the Tokyo episode yet, but I just this moment finished watching Copenhagen. Wow.

Rene Redzepi is a genius, I knew this, but that was a phenomenal hour. Really inspiring stuff if you're a young or aspiring chef like me.

I was looking forward to this, but CNN decided to CNN It Up and pre-empt both my latter DVR recordings with obsessive disaster junk and for some crazy damned reason this season doesn't seem to be airing at all on CNNi which was the best way to watch it last time around.

Did it even air properly at 9PM EST? Are there slated to be more re-airings through the week?

I preferred Layover and No Reservations myself since there was a less of a political slant, but it's still an interesting watch.

I was in Vegas when the Vegas episode aired and didn't catch the places he went to until I saw it afterwards. Guess I'll try that Thai restaurant some day...

Shut up, Firehawk!

I seriously think the Haiti episode of No Reservations changed him which itself was political in nature. I think that episode alone was the impetus for Parts Unknown.

I like it but felt the camerawork and directing sometimes feels a bit overdone. More style than substance. Makes Top Gear look pedestrian.

Yeah I do agree with this, I'm sure the production crew has a lot more creative freedom this time around compared to No Reservations and that has brought more a more experimental aesthetic to the show in the way they present it.

This show is alright but it feels very claustrophobic in its perspective. You don't get a sense of what's happening outside of the 3 local restaurants and 1 tourist attraction he visits

The Thailand episode that aired last week was so good. I was a bit bummed about the past 2 episodes but man did the Thailand episode bring it! When they were eating the spicy food after a night of binge drinking had me rolling.. Every single food item looked delicious, I need to visit Thailand soon.

The sound production this season has been extra ordinary.

My favorite episode of the season so far has been Lyon, delicious looking food through and through.
