NHL Playoffs 2017 [OT] 100 Years of Playoff Salt

Oilers are going to be tough. Great goaltending. McJesus being the incredible MVP that he is. The Samsung Galaxy S8 of hockey teams

Pfft! Oilers won 4 out 5 games this year vs the Ducks, and the one they lost was super close.

Oilers got a chance! 7 games series probably, hopefully the Oilers can win.

edit:

Hes saving all his Ovechtricks for the Ducks.

It's going to be Nashville and Oilers for WCF

Fuck yes fuck yes fuuuuuuck yes!!!!
Oilers are back, baby!

Draisaitl's stick exploding was unbelievable.

You don't believe in McJesus bro?

I think he's hurt tbh. he hasn't been playing as good as he was in the regular season.

On a more general note, Anaheim has been excellent versus Western Canadian teams in the playoffs (swept the Jets and beat the Flames in 5 in 2015, swept the Flames this year) so I'm inclined to say the same will occur with the Oilers. If we're lucky, they'll push it 6. Otherwise, DucksGAF you should be looking forward to the conference finals in 2-3 weeks.

Edit: people here seem to think otherwise. Until I see a game 6, I remain confident the Ducks should deal with the Oilers quite easily.

That would be great!

What's the status on Edmonton fans' clapping abilities? Trying to get a feel for this series before it gets going.

Were fucking on point man. Top tier. Were good at blaming the refs too.

They're obnoxious. I have to live here so trust me. My boss who is a Flames fan, showed up yesterday in a brand new Oilers jersey.

Yup, It's time to trade Pacioretty and Galchenyuk.

They are holding this team back

We had a bunch of guys underperform. Pacioretty shouldn't be captain maybe, but he still helps a lot in getting you to the ball even if he's a shitty dancer during it. And at that cap hit? Fuck I'd take him if we needed wingers.

You just need more center depth and to not play Tortorella USA vs. Canada style bullshit with 4th line size/goons like it's the Montreal Bruins. It didn't work. Almost, but not quite. Ott never managed to phase Zucc. In fact, I think he energized him. And Vigneault thankfully stuck to 4 lines that could score so he put one up against your bottom 6 each time.

I think the Habs will be fine with a few adjustments. This was a tight ass series and Hank proved why he's been one of the best for a decade+. Doesn't change what Price is.

I do fucking love that we can finally settle 2014. Yes we can beat Price. Yes Hank is still as good/better when it matters.

I'd like to note that the Rangers went 3-0 with Pavel Buchnevich in the lineup instead of Tanner Glass.

I was convinced Tanner was back in when we saw what Claude was doing with the Montreal Bruins lineup. I'm so happy Buch played well enough that AV kept him in and we rolled 4 lines with skill. I was really surprised tbh.

edit: Habs fans, how is Sergachev doing? Haven't heard much other than ppl bitching he hasn't developed into a #2 D by now, which was somehow expected instantly. Genuine curiosity. Tinordi and Beaulieu both failed, and I thought they'd be mainstays by now. We had our own McIlrath disaster but Skjei is legit. And now we have our own Russian D to see next season.

maybe some of them will stick around after they lose. I can't be the only one "representing" OilersGAF on a daily basis. I'm far too cynical about this team to poke fun at. :p
But I thought you were a Jets fan, I have to remind you you can only root for one team here or else I'll have to call security and have them escort you out

Well it won't mean a lot, since I don't post often here anymore, but here it goes.

a) If Bergevin is still here next year and we still don't have a legitimate number one center.
b) If Bergevin is still here next year and Pacioretty is still captain.
c) If Bergevin is still here next year and we're not entering rebuild mode.

I'm not watching another habs game next season.

Sergachev is going to be an excellent player but there's sometimes he has moments where he doesn't care, which is troubling. I'm still excited for him next season to make it on the rosters. I'm also excited for Another Defenceman on the London Knights, Victor Mete in the same draft as Sergachev.

That feeling when you wake up and you realize that Michel Therrien was right when he called Pacioretty the worst captain in franchise history.

Come on, Leafs. Push it to seven games tonight.

I get the feeling it's over, though. Toronto looked clueless for the stretches of game 5 that I was able to watch.
