Nice series, this Gamereactor one.

I actually think the girl has a sort of Ellen Page thing going on, very cute.

EDIT: I can't be the first to have drawn that comparison, she looks exactly like Ellen Page :lol

"owning" a genre sounds a bit arrogant

It sounds arrogant, but it's true. Uncharted is best at what it does... and in some respects, no one else is even close.

I'm a bit late on this, but what genre does ND "own" exactly with Uncharted? When you break it down, Uncharted isn't the best TPS. It also isn't the best adventure platformer (the platforming in Uncharted isn't very skill dependent and you are usually just going through the motions). What ND does it bring everything together with high production values and good acting... if that is what you are getting at, I would say they are the best at that (but others are very close too these days), and I wouldn't call that a genre.

As for "The Last of Us" "owning" the survival-horror genre, I expect it will be very good but I still think RE4 is what needs to be surpassed for it to be considered the best.

Many would argue that RE4 isn't even survival-horror

That doesn't make it a bad game or anything. But it definitely relies heavily on action. All indications are that TLoU will lean a lot more toward the survival-horror category. They've indicated that ammo will be scarce and the trailer showed that it's some times better to just run than continue fighting.

Fo realz. Naughty Dog needs to run them through the character customization process in Saints Row: The Third and give 'em pirate suits, mohicans and abnormally large breasts. Shit ain't worth it unless it's pimped.

He looks exactly like the dude in Splinter Cell Convistion. Cept with longer hair and beard.

Issue 237 of Edge goes on sale January 17 featuring The Last Of Us on the cover, Naughty Dog's character-driven tale of the world gone awry. In our in-depth preview of the game, we examine how Naughty Dog is taking a twisted turn from the Uncharted path.

We also look at what's next for Mojang following the sensational success of Minecraft and meet with Amon Tobin who tells us about his ambitions for dynamic game audio. Then we pick holes in the most revered videogames of all time in part one of a two-part feature.

We profile Zach Gage, creator of Lose/Lose and Spelltower, and settle in for a couple of rounds of loudmouth soup in Catherine's Stray Sheep Bar before operating heavy machinery - specifically: the Lancer from Gears Of War.

We go over the creation of Plants Vs Zombies with PopCap and visit Hungary-based Zen Studios to play some pinball.

Finally, voice of Solid Snake David Hayter recalls lazy days spent drifting round Liberty City.

He really looks too much like an older Drake imo. He looks so much like him that's who I'm reminded of when I see this character. It's kind of disheartening, and I hate Ellen Page's look so I'm not into the girl either. I'm much more interested in how the gameplay will be because I can't seem to muster any feeling about the characters looks right now.
