Super Mario Chaos play #1

This is a full playthrough, no warps.

Yeah, so this is probably a tas play, but its easily the best playthrough of Super Mario I've ever seen, he abuses every trick in the book, and there's even a surprise ending! Really a must see video for anyone who likes games. Your jaw will constantly be on the floor.

I don't understand. Did he slow down the game or something? Also, how is he playing as fireball Mario in the original size?

He does that by ducking and getting hit at the same time while killing the first Bowser.

And how does he pull off those walljumps to avoid falling into pits all the time? Is it by simply turning backwards?

It's almost as if the player turned it into a rythm game, or better yet, As Jimmy Hendrix (or whoever your percieved best guitar player) is to guitar, this guy is to Super Mario Bros.

Oh.......my.......God...

When I was young I jumped the flagpole one day. I kept walking to the right and died because I ran out of time.
Of course I told many people my achievement but nobody believed me and they all said it was impossible It was so bad that I was thinking maybe it had been a dream because never again did I accomplish it.

After seeeing this video I know I didn't dream it but actually did one of the coolest things one could do in the 80's!

Thank you sp0rsk!! Thank you for not only providing us with these cool vids but also making me just that much cooler.

this could be very well a tool assisted run (because i can understand doing uber trick and stuff like that... but you need to memorize the game to continue playing after you screw the scrolling) but anyway... i wouldn't have think that the original super mario had so many bugs

If hes not TASing it he's most definitely using some sort of turbo controller or something.

Wow, that was amazing. Breathtaking even! :P

How did he manage to not die when "hit" by many an enemy. For example, in one of the water levels, the enemies that touched him didn't have an effect, and he jumped through bowsers axes or whatever that he threw in a bow, why didn't he get hit?

1) For all intents and purposes, he was "small Mario" and retained the hit box. (water level)

2) He jumped through a gap in the hammers.

I hope somewhere a bit larger... I mean, I knew apartments in Japan were small but, wow.

Anyway, the Mario videos were fucking amazing, even if it was TAS. A lot of effort and craft went into that.

Awesome play. He simply use all the known bugs and glitches with style!

The only thing i don't like is that he is at least using turbo buttons...

Don't trust it too much or your bathtub might overfill causing your floor damage and the ceiling below to fall through and then you'll get in an argument with your mother that somehow results in the Hispanic maid you have getting fired.
