MSI Gaming GTX 970 @ +100 / +300 - i5 3570k @ 4.3GHz, 16GB DDR3 @ 2133MHz - 1080p

During the first story mission my lowest reported FPS was 62 using the high preset with 16x AF instead of 4x. So a 970 will do you proud for 1080p/60 on high settings. The game was running mostly around 70 - 90fps for me, with only one section dipping into the low 60s but never under it.

What are your exact settings with the 970 so that you get the most out of the graphics and be stable at 60 FPS?

Smooth as hell on my 7950 and makes the console version look like s**t, in this case 60 fps are a total game changer.
Awesome job Bungie!

Just the default '2560 x 1440' settings (high for most, some on low/medium) it's locked at 60fps no probs..

Still, every 10 minutes or so, it crashes, black screens and I have to reboot (although voice chat is still working outside the game).

980Ti/5820 @ 1440p.

Everything on Highest but AA was SMAA. MSAA taaaaaaaaanked my framerate.

Buttery smooth. Apart from some occasional nasty aliasing, it looked nice too.

Lol I can't even tell a difference between those pics.

cross posting from the other thread, but would love info from anyone who has HDR up and running; NV driver version, windows update version etc.

4770k + 1080GTX at 1080p. Everything on max but smaa, shadows on medium. never 90-144fps. Gonna lower more stuff till its locked.

GTX 1070 and Core i7 6700k, game ran pretty smooth for me at 1440p through DSR with highest settings on everything but AA which I set to SMAA.

I'd say 99% of the time I was above 60 FPS with very minor dips below it during a couple scenes where a bunch of explosions were happening at once. Overall pleased with the performance I had when I went though the first mission, seems like the PC version got some proper work done on it.

7700K @ 4.5Ghz
1080ti @ 2,012Mhz
32GB 3,200Mhz
SSD
Windows 10 x64 Pro

65" Sony A1E + X1 gamepad

It definitely dips under 60fps more often than I'd like when completely maxed at 3840x2160p. But, I haven't bothered to install the Destiny 2 BETA drivers, so it might have something to do with that. In any case, the game looks great, and that 3D AO is something else.

All settings on High/Highest with FOV 95, Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain disabled.

Solid 60FPS at 1080p pretty much the entire time, higher spots with VSync turned off. VSync gives weird occasional stutters to 30fps, no stutters with it off.

I'm gonna boot this up when I get off work and I'll update this thread with performance.

Here's what I'll be running on:

CPU: Intel i5 4960k 3.5 GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080 FE
RES: 5760 x 1080 (3 Monitors @ 1080p)

Gonna push ultra spec, i'll post pics with FPS counter (if avail).

If you have requests for tests/performance with this spec, dm me and I'll update this page accordingly.

anyone trying to run below minimum? I've got a friend with a toaster who probably can't run this, but would like to try. Seems like the worst GPU posted in here so far is a 970, lol. Probably will have to wait until tomorrow for open beta, I guess.

1440p

Everything High except textures on Highest, ambient occlusion on 3D, SMAA

Fluctuating between 85-100+ fps, I'm pretty happy, though I'd like a full Geforce guide and breakdown of what I'm sacrificing by not having Very High shadows etc. in any case they probably aren't worth the drop to 60fps

Anyone with a i5-6500 with a RX480 rig has anything to say about the performance, or can anyone tell me what I should be expecting when I start it up?

CPU: i5-6500 3.2
GPU: MSI RX480 GAMING X 8GB
RAM: 8GB DDR4 (will be bumping it to 16)

Will be running at 1080p

1440p everything maxed out but AO (using HDAO) -> 100 - 120 fps average

60 - 70 fps @4k with high settings

140fps + in 1080p

I hope some youtuber does a side-by-side performance comparative between the i5-2400 and the R5 1600x

Got everything on highest except SMAA & 105 fov, getting a rock solid 60 with vsync on & about mid 80s without. MSAA hits pretty hard with plents of dips below 60.

What are your exact settings with the 970 so that you get the most out of the graphics and be stable at 60 FPS?

Select high preset and change AF from 4x to 16x, that's it. Pushing the visuals any further results in dips under 60fps. After finishing the story missions I can safely say it runs, looks and feels great. No mouse issues, no asset loading hitching, no stutter at all.

What setting(s) are different between high and highest? Your FPS is almost doubling moving down from highest to high.

After that I just upped AF from 4x to 16x but everything else was default. Oh but I should note this is at the max FoV (105) so if you play on lower you'll probably gain a few FPS.

I'll post this on here as well for anyone curious with similar specs

780ti
4790K @ 4.4ghz
1080p 144hz monitor
16GB 1886mhz DDR3 RAM
Drivers: 385.41

Most of the time I got 90-100+ fps, with the lowest at 72fps. AA and motion blur are off.

I played campaign and co-op mode.

Runs great on my GTX 980 + i7 7700 3.5GHz. Everything maxed out, just using the second AA solution. ~80fps all times.

But yeah, runs great, but still i'm not hooked. I think this BETA is bad. One mission, one strike and PvP :( Not really the best thing for someone who loves PvE.

Quoting myself from beta thread:

i7-4790k @ stock settings
1080 Ti stock settings
16GB RAM

Getting 70+fps maxed with SMAA at 3440x1440, occasional dips below that but usually goes right back to the 70s.

I'll admit though, I only ran through the first few hallways and killed a few Cabal before I had to stop to go for an appointment, so I only played like 5 minutes max. I'll be back on later.

I'd be curious to see what the FPS is with everything on the highest but with MSAA turned off. Seems like that one is an FPS-killer and is bugged / not working in the Beta.

So windowed full screen is just a maximized window? Does that actually need its own setting?

Maximized window also describes borderless window lol. I think the two settings are redundant.
