Frog's Theme is the best character theme ever

That explanation is wrong, as the second half of my own post handily demonstrates. Did you stop reading mid-post?

Arc Impulse from the beta version and final version of the game is based on Toriyama's artwork, not the other way around.

Locke's theme has to be up there simply due to its tie in with Rachel's theme:

Too good.

Also, Magus' theme is probably the best out of any CT character

Except arc impulse never has a flame going from Marle to Chrono's sword. It's clearly ice, then turns into a blue flame thing on Chrono's way down. Dunno how you are refuting a beta pic that clearly shows the exact same thing on the boxart from an earlier version in which Marle used fire and Lucca ice. Not even mentioning that frog is down on the boxart. Yes he kneels in the triple tech but he propels Chrono into the air thus popping back up. If Chrono is in the air, frog was already back on his feet in arch impulse.

All I'm saying is that the cover art depicts Arc Impulse. The beta screenshot, which is from an early version of the game, also depicts Arc Impulse in an earlier version.

You said that Toriyama's promo art was based on the beta screenshot, which is false. It's the other way around. Toriyama obviously drew the art first.

Furthermore, you're saying that Lucca used ice in the beta, which is completely false.

(And his name is Crono by the way.)

OK well the fact remains there is a discrepancy between the box art and the game, hence the questions about it. Even if it's not a "screw up" either the game changed during the development or it was depicting something that never happened. It does not show arch impulse as it appears in game.

That much has been clear from your very first post. Whether or not the cover is depicting Arc Impulse or a regular dual tech has zero relevance considering that Marle does not use Fire magic on ANY of her techs in the final game, including Arc Impulse; no matter what Tech the picture depicts, it's obviously from the beta. I mean, as if the cover and beta screenshot showing the same monster and area combination that's not found in the final game wasn't a dead giveaway.

Oh my, you seriously believe that, don't you? You honestly believe Toriyama drew the final US cover for the game before the developers had started sketching the triple tech system. You also believe an illustration of these three characters fighting this boss in the snow, something that never actually happens in the game, was randomly drawn by Toriyama way ahead of time, then stored in a locker (it happens to be the one piece of Chrono Trigger art that wasn't released before the game; I know that because I obsessively followed the game before it was released). Finally, you believe that one of the very first and very few preliminary beta screenshots, taken and released months if not years before that cover, just happened to perfectly match that exact, final-game nonexistent composition by chance.

Jesus, the self-delusional lengths some people will go to avoid being proven wrong in a message board.

It's Chrono in the Japanese version. It was shortened for the western release as names could only be 5 letters long.

Anyway, you are correct.

You gotta listen to it in delicious 240p!!

Why is Innocent Sin's OST on PSP so similar to the PSX version? I noticed it's just more "rock-ish" if you know what I mean. When you look at P1 though it looks like it went from P2's style to P3/P4's style. I figured P2 would have done the same on PSP, not that I'm complaining or anything though. It sounds nice.

sure is a lot of jrpg and generic heroic theme stuff in this thread

imma try and mix it up with some resident evil entries:

ada's theme:

wesker's re5 theme:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OLax-NenP8

also hunk's theme (which is just taken from another game so i'm posting that one instead since it has the intro to the theme):

edit:
fuck it, why not, i love RE5's soundtrack a lot so here's a heroic one anyway:
chris's theme from re5:

Saw some posts for Guile's theme, but Balrog's theme is the best damn theme ever. Sucks you can only set the music in SF4 to the stage theme or the opponent's character theme or else I'd never not pick Balrog.

This is a pretty good remix too.

Because it's the one wrong thing that Meguro ever did: erase the eerie dreamlike atmosphere that Persona 1 steeped in.

frog theme is indeed amazing and i even like the heavy metal version Bazza use for the video game championship wrestling (i don't usually like remixes)

While I disagree (I rather enjoy Imu's theme regardless of how I feel about the character)
And Rin's theme is nice too... however:

Senran Kagura Shinobi Versus - For Your Scar (Murasaki's theme)

Despite our (apparently) wildly different tastes, I think we can probably both appreciate the awesomeness.
Yeah, we can reach a truce over Murasaki's theme, which is definitely high tier. Though I'd rank it slightly lower than:

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus - Ribbon of Sorrow (Yagyu's theme)

Terra's theme from Final Fantasy VI is the best in my opinion. Though honestly I prefer the more subdued version, Awakening, as a song in general.
