I just realized it does not save unless you select a save slot -_-
This happened to me as well. -____-I just realized it does not save unless you select a save slot -_-

I used it as an opportunity to make a better network. I was so mad at first though lol
I don't usually buy DLC for games but I'll be buying the DLC for this. They are only 99¢ each after all.
Im in the seco d tututorial chapter after they gave me the 3d walking tool.
I dont know how to gain money better in this one. I have 3 lumber freight trains and 2 farm trains. Also 3 passenger lines. Everyone of them makes money in more or less quantity.
I have 4 freight stations losing money (i dont think they can make any?).
And then theres the shitty streetcar, even extending the line and puttin varios stops is still very slowly losing money (not much though).
No, seriously, is the streetcar good for something?
Any help would be appreciated.
Make sure you are only waiting 5 minutes at busy stations and lines. I was making a bunch of money on streetcars in that scenario. I'm trying to remember what I did. Make sure you shut down your freight lines at night and on the weekends or make them sit at stations for awhile or you'll run out of materials. It doesn't cost anything to have your trains sit. Having them move or shift materials costs. If a freight train moves back and forth all night waiting for materials to appear so it can pick them up, you are throwing money away.
Same goes for the streetcars, shut them down at midnight or 1am and start them up again at 6.
Hopefully that helps a bit.
I'm so torn on getting this game. I discovered the 90s PC game a few years ago but never had time to check it out, but always wanted to. I've never played a transit simulator before, but the idea has intrigued me. $30 is a bit much when I'm still trucking away with Fantasy Life and Cities: Skylines right now, though...
How often do Natsume games go on sale on the eshop?
(Also, as an aside, how many save slots do you get? Didn't see this mentioned yet, sorry.)

50 saves slots says the secretary if IIRC.
Man, read the description of the third tutorial and seems dauting as hell. I dunno if im prepared to tackle it right now before I sleep.
Also the secretary mantains really well. She looks the same age in the 1960's and 2000 but with another haircut and clothes. lol
And the COO seems like a creep with that face.
The COO looks like an anime demon character when you get him excited about building something in a profitable area.
And the third tutorial scenario is HUUUUGGGEEEE. I'm still on that scenario.
Its so worth it though, the tools and info you gain and learn how to use really empower you!
🚉 🚌 🚄 🚇 I'm determined to beat scenario three tonight!! 🚇 🚄 🚌 🚉
Yeah I finally figured it out as well. I was expecting the secretary to prompt me but it was hidden in the projects menu! So, anyone knows how to go public in the 3rd scenario tutorial?
Edit: found it, is in the coo plans thingy. Ugh i could have win this scenario hours ago
I've been meaning to try this series since the first release outside Japan on the PlayStation (I think that's the third game). How does this version compare to the other recent ones on the PC?
So in resume the PC version is probably more free of doing what you want but harder to get into, while the 3ds is more mission driven, but visually better and more invating when starting to play.
Is the 3DS game entirely played in scenario format, or is there a "free build" option (or something similar)?
Probably one of the only reviews of the English version around for this right now (nintendolife)
I'm interested to hear what players in this thread think about some of the criticisms that are raised ("nigh impenetrable barrier to entry", "let it be known that newcomers are not welcome", "Truly, this is a title 'for super players only' ").
I cant believe how good this game is. I literally cant believe it, its boggling my mind how I am still in the second tutorial and the game gets more and more complex. I'd already be satisfied with the current features and its just adding more all the time, so awesome.
Well I sort of agree that it has a LOT of features (<3), but tbh, the game does a very good job at giving you great and easy to access utorial tools. It eases you into it pretty slowly (4 hours for the first tutorial mission, which is basically only "Build tracks, buy trains&stations and maintaining them) and you can dig around the easy mechanics without much fear of repercussions, since the first level dont have much danger and are easily held on a self-sufficient budget.
If anything, the tutorials are too slow.

This is true, not becuase of the real tutorial part when the game is explaining things and you test them, but because of the slog of the 2nd and 3rd tutorials of waiting 2 years on the black and going public. Those moments are you waiting while doing nothing to keep the balance in black. Something like 2 hours. Those are for me the big negatives in the tutorials. I would love a speed where each day pass as a second instead of 24 seconds.
The most recent installment is as good as this one, but in different ways, i.e. having even more detail, lots more opportunity to experiment with map construction, some mod capacity, flexible performance (on top of having nice polygonal visuals), and generally having more options for showcasing your content online. Also: crazy how the 3DS version is so good, but the PC versions arent really held in high regard.

Most of the negative reviews have to do with practically non-existent customer support, not the quality of the game as it should be played (aka with all officially-implemented rolling stock and expansions). Also, I wouldn't jump to comparisons between A-Train 9 to CiM2, as the former encourages city-building more so, and there are numerous mechanical differences. I definitely think Artdink's PC team should adopt the character aides from the DS and 3DS games, of course. And they should actively support Degica if not already, seeing as Degica manages its RPG Maker team better than its A-Train one.Atrain 9 V3.0 ? That game has very mixed reviews on Steam, some with very valid sounding complaints, especially considering the obvious comparison to Cities in Motion 1/2.

Anyway, OT update tonight at the least. Do y'all want the Nintendo Life review to feature? I don't agree with how the site gave their review copy to someone who can only appreciate the game's quality with distance (and feels safe judging how sim fans will react to it), but it's a review and those aren't going to be common for A-Train CS.
GAF impressions come first in this case, but I'll also link to what others have said on Nintendo Life's forums.BTW The music is really good, some of the traks are really amazing and feel like im watching Fantasia or something.
But i dont like that you need to select everyone of them each time you start a new scenario so they loop randomly. Is there a way so its from top to bottom instead of randomly?
Tracks seem to play from bottom to top, at least due to how I selected them or something.
Maybe add it with an explantion of why he gave that score?
As not many reviews will come by you could quote some of us in an opinion section of what we think about the game. maybe that helps more people over the fence.

You are clearly doing something wrong, that scenario is no more than 4 hours.I must have missed something. I've been playing the first tutorial for almost 15 hours and I have not even hit 6000 people yet. Every few days two of my trains collide at a junction switch where two lines intersect. Are there tools to control that later in the game?
Also, do you need to own the land around stations for it to develop? Some of my earliest stations went from drastic development, back to slow, and I don't know why. There are plenty of building materials in range. Maybe the land I own is all filled up and I need to buy more?
Still enjoying it, but I want to finish this scenario and start the next one. Knowing what I know now, my next scenario should go much more smoothly.
That might have something to do with impatience of the reviewer. If you like sim city, transport tycoon or roller coaster tycoon this game is for you. There's a learning curve but there was a learning curve when those games were new to us as well.
I finally finished the final tutorial scenario last night. Construction sandbox mode is wide open, goodbye Sunday afternoon!
Also LOL at the guy in the nintendolife comments section that said this game should be $3. Just lol.
I'm not what you would call a hardcore sim player, I'm very casual and I'm having a blast with this game. The pace is slower and more relaxed than an action game, but it suits portable perfectly. Also, it's not priced at $30 because its niche, it's a full retail game.
