So this Doctor is going to do a real-life head transplant. But that's not the weirdest part...
(OT thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1026394)
The procedure is also named.... "HEAVEN"
(Thanks to Spannicus)
Coincidence? or Kojima? You decide.
Is it me... or does he look an awful lot like this guy from MGS5: TPP?
EDIT 2: SUNDAY: THE FINAL DAY
Let's not get any more off the deep end than we already are. No calling people that are most likely not really involved in MGSV, no emailing, none of that. The likelihood here is that Kojima modeled the Doctor off of an actor (as was noted earlier) and that actor happens to look eerily similar to this head transplant Doctor.
Needless to say, the head transplant Doctor is not doing himself any favors by proposing an idea that is as crazy as Kojima's plots, but still.
Reel it back in.
Here's everthing so far:
Dr Sergio Canavero is a part of the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group.
Kojima on Taboo:
The next project will challenge a certain type of taboo," he wrote. "If I mess up, I'll probably have to leave the industry. However, I don't want to pass by avoiding that. I turn 47 this year. It's been 24 years since I started making games. Today, I got an ally who would happily support me in that risk. Although it's just one person. For a start, it's good."Procedure for the transplant named HEAVEN.
Person getting the transplant is a CG artist and a game development supervisor. https://www.xing.com/profile/Val_Spiridonov
Head transplant in MGS V?
Sergio is doing a talk in Cyprus which is presumably where the hospital in MGS V is. It's a location in the game anyway according to PC files.
Has a scientific article named The “Gemini” spinal cord fusion protocol: Reloaded http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/?lin...m_uid=24244881
Sergio submitted this article on GEMINI just two days after MGS V was revealed. http://www.surgicalneurologyint.com/...ulast=Canavero

The talk's partner is a gaming site who has an office in Cyprus: https://wargaming.com/en/about/our-locations/nicosia/
Transplant patient's facebook cover pic:
This is presumably the report: http://thejns.org/doi/pdf/10.3171/foc.19220.127.116.11 Titled Painful supernumerary phantom arm following motor cortex
stimulation for central poststroke pain.
Has a book: http://www.amazon.com/Head-Transplan...der_1503243222
Some of these chapter titles sound familiar.
Also what kind of doctor has photoshoots like this?
