Instead of a SKU count only table of confusion, Sega has decided to put out a useful table this year.

Neat info too:

In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the number of newly launched titles distributed domestically in the field of digital game software is planned to be 47 (including 1 Pay-to-play type and 46 Free-to-play types).

In the packaged game software field, the Group is working on rationalization mainly in overseas and will build a structure in which revenue can be created with stability. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the Group will launch new titles mainly for the Group’s mainstay IP including “Persona5” which will be the latest title from the Persona series boasting over 6 million total copies sold along with implementing transitions of IP for packaged games such as “Total War” series into digital games mainly in overseas.

In essence, Sega transitions into a mobile/PC publisher while Atlus remains mainly as their console-centered development.

Still confused as to why Alien Isolation suffered from both a critical and commercial mediocre response.

It's a good, well polished game. Perhaps it would have done better being released at a less busy time of year.

It hurts me to see these numbers. Way too high. So many quality games can only dream of these numbers.

Isn't that both Sonic titles lumped together? Isn't that bad per SKU? Or is it actually good?

Not exactly amazing, in fact I think it's poor for a Sonic title, but better than some were probably expecting.

It was getting a bit repetitive through the middle and an unnecessarily long game. Still, retro scifi art and sound design was top notch.

Odd that Total War: Attila is not included in their best sellers list; though it mentions packaged games in the header so I guess it's not considered as such due to it being mostly digital?

Sega's expecting over 7 million packaged sales for this fiscal-year.

Persona Dancing and Persona 5 are most likely 500k and 2.5 million respectively

That leaves 4 million on the table...

Edit: Hmmm... went back to see previous Persona sales, think I might have been aggressive with that estimate finally. Let's bring it to 1.6-1.8 million

That's a pretty aggressive estimate for Persona 5.

That said, their other known retail titles this year would be Total Warhammer and Football Manager.

I'm assuming a Sonic product is coming too.

To answer my own question; Isolation passed 1 million sales in January. Seems like a pretty good sales tail, although we have to factor price drops into that. It's been £15-£20 here in the UK for months.

Seems decent sales for Isolation and I believe is growing at a decent rate. I could of sworn it was at 1 millionish not too long ago. Bunch of people probably bought it on sale like I did recently. Which also reminds me that I still need to get around to playing it.

It actually reviewed very well overall if you actually analyse the scores. The issue was a couple of bigger sites put out decidedly poorly constructed reviews who grumbled about what the game wasn't vs what is was and couldn't handle manual checkpoints and losing progress if they fucked up.

2.1 is pretty good for such s hardcore title in my view and hopefully covers a sequel.

It may seem on the high-end, but I think the numbers may skew higher due to it being available on 2 platforms (PS3, PS4); though my estimate takes in consideration a holiday release for all territories, which might not be the case. We'll see.

I think Sonic may simply be relegated to mobile platforms until its theatrical release in 2016 where one will see a console offering; or another Sonic Racing could be in the works too as well for this year.

Not a bad number after a few months for an expansion to a game that seemingly wasn't very well received. Though the Steam user rating is higher than I thought it would be so might be a case of a very vocal minority.

Sweet Jesus. CA doing a solo Predator game based on the first movie with a few liberties. The graphics. The score. The first quarter could be a more straight fire fight between you and the hostage takers before descending into a battle of wits vs the Predator. I waaaaaaaaant!

Mediocre? It got plenty of praise. Was on quite a few critics' GOTY lists. Even if you care only about review scores than reading, it sat at around 80 which is good. Alien Isolation selling more than 2 million copies, a pretty hardcore stealth horror game made by Creative Assembly not used to making such immersive games, is frankly amazing.

It surely didn't help and of course SEGA branding was on both which diluted sense AI was from a different developer.

I think 2.1 given the game design and coming off CM is pretty good. It's still selling too and overall word of mouth was good I belive.

surprised by the alien figures, not in the bad way either.

seeing how we got reports that it sold 1m in late january, it sold another million in the 3/4 months since, which isn't bad for a game that came out in october last year. word of mouth works, i guess.

Pretty good figures for Isolation, the question is whether or not they expected an unrealistic number of units sold like the morons at Square Enix did with some of their titles. Hope it's enough for them to greenlight a sequel.

Given that title count it's got to include a lot of what Atlus USA is doing. Beyond that, it will presumably include Western games like Total Warhammer and Football Manager as well.

That just depends on the budget. I would hazard a guess considering the game's design and a team of around 120, at like $40 million?

It seems Sega-Sammy made a 146 million dollar net income deficit this past year.
