Call of Duty 3 still a PS3 launch title
#1
A week before Activision posts its Q1 earnings (and forecast for Q2 inc. PS3 launch), the Call of Duty 3 game information page on Activision's website drops 'PlayStation 3' as a designated platform for the Fall 2006 release date.
http://www.activision.com/en_US/game...0eb6f6a2e.html PlayStation 3 is still listed for the other two announced launch titles of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Tony Hawk's Project 8. Commence eyebrow raise. [Update]PlayStation 3 is now listed. Go go web developer incompetence!

CoD3 is the only WWII fps coming this holiday, so missing some revenue on that opportunity must rather annoy Activision, if this is true.
More generally, expect PS3's launch lineup to be pretty fluid until closer to launch. We're bound to see plusses and minuses to the launch catalog in the interim. |

I've heard nothing about Call of Duty 3 specifically, but I know that there are a handful of multiplatform titles that are becoming more or less de facto Xbox 360 exclusives because of development issues related to the complicated PS3 architecture. It wouldn't surprise me of CoD3 was one of them.
