except that airform case that that ugly fake FOR NDS logo on the front and isnt licenced by nintendo like that hori one is.

Also the insides look the same, but the hori hard pouch has a velvety feel to the insides - overall quality is a lot better.

i convinced my girlfriend to make me a similar case with a couple fabrics i picked out, since she's pretty crafty with the needle+thread. here are the pics of her first try, though we're already planning on making another one with more alterations (compartments in the inside-top-flap for games/stylus, different fabrics so it doesn't look so purse-like):

it's a good one but the fact it has only space for 3 games sucks.

You can squeeze up to two games in each of the three pockets.
Plus there is a larger pocket behind the 3 main pockets that can hold up to a dozen games.

Plus if you are really worried about game storage, there is this option:

Playasia do a combo deal that includes the hard pouch AND The leather card case.

I ordered this case from Lik-Sang a week or two ago - it hasn't arrived yet, but I am waiting patiently.

Best looking case for the DS lite, IMO:

Does anyone know if there are bootleg Keys Factory DS lite cases out there?

I found this ebay auction, and it's the same Keys Factory case I posted above, but for much cheaper than I paid for at Lik-Sang. So much cheaper, that I am suspicious of their legitimacy. Any thoughts?

I will say though, I initially disliked the metal loop so much I was thinking up ways to saw it off. It seemed just a bit too femme for my tastes, but it's grown on me a bit, and I think I'll leave it there.

Yonn: I have the compact one. It's nice, but I hoped for a cord extension - on the back there's this click system so you can attach the case to your belt. If there was a longer version you could carry it around your belly or on shoulder or so.

(not the best quality sorry for that, cellphone stuff)

Cheers, Jefklak! So what do you think of the quality? It seems like the lite isn't so snug in there, is it able to move around when the case is closed? And how 'bout the protection? How would the Lite survive a drop? And I suppose you could cram 4 DS games in there if you wanted to, right?

The inside is very soft and dropping the thing from wrist size won't affect the dslite performance at all I think - not going to test it out for you Seriously, it fits very good and it may look like it's able to move around but once closed this is not the case. You can actually hold 4 DS games in the two sides if you wish, and like my pic pointed out it can hold in the bottom 8 DS games + 4 in side + ds on top of 8 games without scratches or anything.

Hey, it's only ten bucks. Buy it :)

Okay, then, I will. Maybe.

I found a review of a number of cases including the Compact and the Multi: http://**********.com/?p=3530

I also found some new pics of the black hard pouch. They're not so great, but hey. http://www.renchi.com/renchi/Product?productID=19909

Thanks for the site, but it's a little bit too late for me.

Quote:
Next we have the DS Lite Compact Pouch—a smaller, less cushy version of the DS Lite Multi Pouch. This slightly harder product has a design that is similarly professional and sleek, utilizing the same winter coat material on the outside and soft, loveable felt on the inside. Upon unzipping the pouch, I was pleased to find two pockets explicitly made for games accompanied with an extra large pouch that could be used for a stylus or…I don’t know…a stick of gum. There are also two small straps on the opposite flap of the pouch to hold the DS Lite securely in place. If we move on to the outside of the DS Lite Compact Pouch, we find that there is a mysterious plastic clip and strap on the backside of the product whose function is unknown. I suppose you could strap it to your bag much like the DS Lite Multi Pouch, but the Japenese lettering and pictures on the packaging don’t offer any diagrams to confirm this. (I was relying on these nice little drawings with the other products!) It also seems to offer a ring for a carabiner, although such hardware is apparently sold separately. What I most like about this pouch is that it seems perfect to throw in a purse or backpack and go. Its small size and slightly harder texture make it an easy fit for most any pieces of luggage. This convenient pouch gets a solid 8.5—a rating to be proud of.

That's pretty good :) This one yes -

i like this look and idea, but 6 games? common ... no way i could only pick 6 (7 including the one in the system) of all my games. i want one that holds near 20 or something, they are such tiny games, it should be easy.

A friend of mine has a bootlegged Keys Factory DSL case. He has the black one, be wary of it! The black lining on the inside rubs off on your DS and thus ruins it. Don't buy it! The real one is worth it in my opinion. I own a white one, it's a great case.

I bought one from eBay once, and one from Play Asia.

Play Asia's had "Nintendo DS Lite" on the back, and "keys factory" on the front, and the green ttag.

eBays had "For NDS Lite" on the back (which has since rubbed off), nothing on the front, and the green tag said "made in China".

So eBay seems to have fakes. For me, I didn't mind, cos I just wanted a cheep, matching case. The build quality seems fine, apart from the logo rubbing off, so it's up to you.
