Fallout 4 |OT2| Farming Simulator 2287

Trying to figure if I want a short scope, standard ironsights, or a reflex scope. Or if the glow sights are worth the currently hard-to-find nuclear material.

I love how I've modded a lowly pipe pistol into a pretty good scout rifle.

Question about the main quest line.

I just completed the quest at CIT.

I have the courser chip, and the quest says to have it analyzed. I wnat to make sure this isn't a story pivot point, but can I bring it to multiple people? The woman at the railroad asked for it, but I said no for now. Can I also bring it to the brotherhood of steel, and the green guy in the glowing sea? Will that have story implications for me?
Shouldn't have any story implications, at least didn't for me. Gave it to the person you also had request it and didn't alter anything.

I got this game and a PS4 a couple days ago and I'm really enjoying it. I do have a question, though. In Sanctuary, I set up a guard post and I keep getting alerts to assign a worker to it. How do I assign a worker to it?

Not massively harder but I was in the same boat as you, started on hard for awhile but became way too powerful and bumped it up. You'll see more legendary enemies and take more damage, though it's still pretty easily managed. Survival HP regen is too slow for me to bear. :<

Actually, I just took a video of me fighting a Legendary Glowing Deathclaw on Very Hard, and all I can say is...leg shots are OP.

omg i felt so bad for it when its down

Hold touch pad to pull up workshop, go to a settler and press X to select them, then press X on the post to assign them to it.

How bugged out are the special traders? Just reloaded a save to escort Rylee to my settlement because she never showed up in another file. Heard all level 4 traders have bugs, I'm wondering if this is a "Screwed no matter what" bug, or an unstable script bug where it's just a gamble under variables.

Freakin A game made me decide between

Permanently Making Enemies with the brotherhoods of Steel of which I was very deep into and at least partially agreed with

Or Permanently Making Enemies with the Institute and by extension my son of whom I at least partially agreed with.

Who does that?

Also is it just me or is the thing that gets attributed to the Institute
(namely being swapping humans with synths) actually the work of the railroad?

The reason I think this is because the Institute doesn't want any Synths that are not combat units in the wasteland and the Railroad does facial reconstruction and memory swapping on synths. That makes me think that the Railroad is responsible for all that crap

The chip can only be cracked by the railroad the pivotal story split between each faction is when you choose who to take the instructions from Vergil to.

Better question, how does NPC pathfinding work when you are out somewhere else doing a dungeon or something? Following Rylee, it seems she gets stuck at a settlement I built because she can't get through a wall. I wondering if this is a factor if I don't escort her to the settlement I chose.

I don't know about this particular example but I found that NPC's will typically do something akin to fast travel if you are not explicitly in a quest to follow or escort them.

For example I had a choice to either follow Valentine or meet him in good neighbor. If you follow him you have to follow him all the way there or he doesn't make it. If you don't follow him he'll show up in good neighbor in about the time it takes you to walk there.

Guys I have a confession. I still have no clue how hacking terminals actually works.

When you click on a word, it says in the bottom right the relevance. So if the relevance is 2 that means the password has 2 of the same letters as the word you picked.

And if you find any sequence of junk characters in between either a < >, [ ], a (), or a { } and click it (have to click on the opening brackets) it will either remove a dud or reset your tries

for example if you had something like (&^<) move over the ( it will highlight the entire set and then select it and it will do what I stated above.

I'd just hit the first 3 keywords, exit, retry, hit first 3 key words, repeat until it works.

It doesn't lock you out forever if you fail it four times. Why ten seconds, can try again. Though I don't know if gives you a third try.

Which is different than the previous games. In the previous you only had one attempt or get locked out forever. Which is why you would eve, try three tune and then reload if not successful.

I think in the past ones had you go through the terminal boot-up if you leave the hacking process.

THIS GAME IS FUCKING AMAZING

probably one of the most fun games ive ever played

Seriously. The best game in years to be honest. I'm bias being a Fallout fan but nothing has come close to the fun I'm having with this. My girlfriend even noticed I'm happier and said so. (depression sucks...)

So wait.

Resources don't communally pool, but are linked to the specific workshop that you dumped them in?

Few observations.
Mods are shared among all linked settlements. I have weapon mods in the Red Rocket but I can attach them via the weapon workbench in my Star Light Drive-In settlement..

Stored armor/weapon/cooking workbenches aren't shared across linked settlements. So if you have spare ones in a settlement you aren't going to bother with. Scrap em.

Materials are shared in BUILD mode only. You can't see pooled inventory in workbenches. So, if Red Rocket and Starlight Drive-In are linked and you have 50 Wood in Red Rocket and 100 in Starlight. You'll see 150.

I think most people knew this but it might help some.

Man, I keep meeting NPCs with voices I recognize from Life is Strange.

Went to imdb and sure enough, like half the cast of LiS is in the game.

Half of the NPC's have the same voice actor who voices Garrus Vakarian in Mass Effect. I keep expecting one to slip in a calibrations nod.

95% here. And I have 23 pop, and 17 emporiums. I don't fucking get it.

Build a bed and a chair next to a bell. Ring the bell, sleep 24 hours 4 times, then wait 24 hours 4 times. then ring the bell and wait a bit, your happiness should rise a point or two. Repeat the process.

92-100 takes forever

Anyone know a mod to make the game more difficult? I want to essentially be a glass canon. On my 2nd character, I gave myself a bunch of levels to do a quasi-new game+ and everything goes down so quickly, and I can take a ton of damage, even on Survival difficulty.

Gonna try Legendary Realistic Survival Damage Mod and see how that goes.

Can you relocate main workshop in sanctuary? The one you use to craft buildings/furniture etc.

I scrapped house next to the one where settlers start living. That made one nice huge platform where I'm placing all workshop benches plus one bed. This way I can come back to stash my loot, sleep to get well rested perk and start crafting for more XP. I was able to relocate all but one main workshop.

Just a PSA, it seems that special traders are bugged in the fact that they don't play nice with Sanctuary. Looked up people having problems with unique townies, but the constant with all of these characters is Sanctuary, the first time I chose to recruit one of these characters to Sanctuary is the only time I seriously started having these bugs though.

Was thinking the same thing. Haven't found anything concrete yet that really points to them though but its definitely not the Institute IMO

Very late game spoilers:

Okay, the late game faction crap is stupid. False dichotomies everywhere. I get what they tried to do, but it was very poorly done.

Has anyone else had a problem with Corvega Assembly Plant breaking on PC? I can't return to it now without the game freezing and crashing. The worst part is I left one of my Power Armors there while I was using a terminal. I have tried fast traveling away, then returning and entering by different doors, but the game always crashes the same way.

Your Luck must be low, cause even Rank 1 Mysterious Stranger procs every once and awhile for me. Sometimes at the right time, too.

I had 9 luck (before item bonuses) and been testing this perk since the beginning of the game, investing in new ranks as soon as they opened up. It felt like a 10% chance to proc at most. It would probably appear once for every 50 raiders I've killed, but it's true that I was mostly 1-2 shotting them due to crit luck build + Righteous Authority combo. The perk itself has a chance to proc on each shot that doesn't kill the enemy afaik.

That Mystery Meat quest though...
Using Feral Ghouls for canned meat. Nasty.

Having trouble understanding this quest.
Where do you find out he was using ghouls? Do you just assume? Even reading the terminal at the first part of the basement it doesn't say he does that does he? Also if traders are bringing him meat, why the hell does he have to resort to Ghouls? Makes no sense to me.

Well once you get through that creepy underground tunnel system you end up back inside the cannery and see dead ghouls in a bin and on a counter with a knife nearby it seemed implied.
