That village and instant transition to the big field was really nice. Fan of the graphics too.

Really glad Koei are releasing a demo on April 11th, which will decide whether I buy this or not.

Amazing visuals. Hopefully Vita version has as little compromise as possible. Planning to get both for local play reasons.

Wonder how fast Koei can localize the game for west.

I was really, really hoping the bosses wouldn't flee halfway through the fight. So relieved they still don't.

I was afraid being cross gen (?) would hold it back in both graphics and scope but doesn't look like it. Looking great so far.

The fights still look brainless like the first one. No strategies involved. I liked Toukiden but hoped they would improve the combat rather than make it open world to capture random people who get wowed by this. I'm too tired right now to explain in detail, why I think the combat is dull, but I'm sure some here know what I mean.

Edit: I will play the demo first of course to make a final judgement on this. But so far everything I feared is coming true.

Well there is still that off chance that meteor will wreak their HQ so I wouldn't call it 100% ;)

I get you, but like their Musou series, even though the combat may be dull it still is fun to play.

the game definitely feels like it leveled up.

I really really hope the vita version runs well since that's the version I'm getting. I have a ps4 but would prefer to play a game like this on my vita.

Anyways there is going to be a ps4 demo on April 11 so I'll check that out.

I agree about the combat being dull. I got my money's worth out of Toukiden and Kiwami but I just wish there was a little more depth in that regard. I'll still probably pick this up seeing as my dream for Soul Sacrifice 2 will probably never come true.

I did enjoy the first, but only because I was hungry for more Monster Hunter and at that time there was no one new out here.

There is still that chance that difficulty was set to absolute 0 in the video and enemies will be more aggressive in the full version or late game monsters will be tough nuts to crack. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Man I miss this game so much hurry up and come to the west! Nothing beat that feedback when you cut Oni's limb off so good my Naginata is itching for more Toukiden

The open world seems to be a good idea, the game looks relatively great.

I enjoyed a lot the first one, I will take on the demo on April 11th to see what this episode has in store.

Sure, but it's not just the difficulty but I miss the meta game of monster hunter. I played bow in the first one and it got old after a while doing the same things over and over again. No traps, no stuff like flash bombs etc.

I like the setting, I like the weapons and I like the demons, but the combat doesn't get me hooked like mh. I don't want to sound like a crybaby or anything like that. because I really liked Toukiden except for that.

Nobody is accusing you of anything, mate, it's just an opinion :D

Well, maybe they added some gadgets and skills and whatnot. Let's hope for the best and if our wishes don't come to pass then there are plenty other games around to play.

Looks to be taking the same approach as Dragon Quest Heroes 2. Is this KT's de-facto approach to its games going forward? Can we expect the new Dynasty Warriors to follow a similar model. I'm guessing, yes.

I really want to like Toukiden, but the combat needs more substance akin to Monster hunter. I hope this game is very successful though. Maybe it will make other companies create beautiful worlds on console too. I would love to see a New Freedom Wars and Monster hunter on the big screen.

"The strength of demons is less than after the Kiwami update. Both the story mode and multiplayer mode degrees of difficulty are being regulated, the former so that it doesn’t disrupt the story. Powerful demons and such are being prepared for the game’s end content."

Looks really good.

It's the speed of toukiden , with open world. Meaning more verticality and less load times

It's like an entire new region, like villagers now dare to go outside of their village without an escort *mindblow* !!

Disapointed that some Oni remain there ..i've fought that guy way too many times..you'd better give all the bosses , new attacks and new twists.

EDIT : Wait ....now limb-less oni stay down ??
Wooow.. that changes EVERYTHING

can't wait.

Toukiden was such a great game for me personally. It's faster, hack and slash fighting gameplay is just resonated better with me. Also no need to play on a handheld.

This just looks fantastic. Can't wait for that demo now.

My most anticipated PS4 game and I didn't even care for Tokiden Kiwami. I used to play MH on PSP and now I play a lot of Freedom Wars and this seems like a combination of both and it's open world wich I usually hate but for a hunting game it makes sence. The only thing I wish they did was a more extensive character creator like the ones on Freedom Wars or Dragon's Dogma that let you pic how big your character is, bust size, diferent eyes, etc.

The lack of load screens pleases me. I'd want the same for MH, but I feel that'd take something away from the game.

Well well. Cutting off an oni's limbs actually affects them now. Love how the oni in the first video was crawling on the floor after getting it's leg cut off. It was silly in the first game to cut their arms and legs only for them to shrug it off.

Uggh, recorded footage and NicoNico....best quality offenders.

Anyway, they dropped the PSP this time or?

Still need an art book
