Neat news.
Slimes et al are lookin funky too. What kind of game is this then?
It's a board game. Nothing to get excited about, in my opinion.Originally Posted by radioheadrule83

They're not keeping them "out". This is not a FF/DQ series to begin with. There was a FF+DQ version of Itadaki Street on PS2 and PSP. This is a DQ+Mario one. The Itadaki Street series itself has nothing to do with FF or DQ really, these are just varient versions with licensed characters featured.Originally Posted by ..pakbeka..
I wonder if they keep the FF vii/viii/ix/x/xii characters out, that would scare away 75% of the fangirls
And another thing... S-E just publicly came out and said they don't want any of the three console makers to be too powerful this upcoming generation, didn't they? I guess this doesn't apply to portables?

I was gonna say, that is some old-school 2D Mario art, reminds me of stuff from the NES/SNES days.Originally Posted by radioheadrule83

Big meh on the DQ/Mario monopoly game, the only remotely good thing about it is that it is yet another S-E game for the DS. But meh...

...it really seems FF goes PS3 and DQ goes Wii. Not too much, not too little...
Now, if only Nintendo would go back to using the proper artwork, not the fake Toy Story Mario they've been using since the N64.
I'd splooge my pants if that happened.Originally Posted by John Harker

It still sucks that my 2 favorite game series of all time combine in a BOARD GAME though :(
This stuff has little to do with Wii/PS3. Everything Japanese goes DS. IT PRINTS MONEY!!!Originally Posted by Kurosaki Ichigo

Cool to see another Square Enix game on the DS, cool to see continuing support, cool to see that they still have more and more stuff planned.
But "meh" at the actual game... this time around, anyway. Itadaki Street is revolting.
Though, with only a few minor additions, that was just a port of the PS2 game.Originally Posted by typhonsentra

This is actually a brand new game. And it's now the third Dragon Quest game on the DS -- not counting the FF3/DQ5-style remakes that seem almost guaranteed at this point.
:/
That's what I'm talking about.
Final Fantasy in Mario Party DS, perhaps? :)Originally Posted by VicAlpha

Can anyone translate the scan? Does it specifically say something like "Itadaki Street: Mario + DQ"?
edit: nvm, it says in big English letters "DRAGON QUEST DS SUPER MARIO". -___-
