They're not keeping them "out". This is not a FF/DQ series to begin with. There was a FF+DQ version of Itadaki Street on PS2 and PSP. This is a DQ+Mario one. The Itadaki Street series itself has nothing to do with FF or DQ really, these are just varient versions with licensed characters featured.

Wow, another s-e game for DS. And these were in development before ff3 turned out to be a success. Just think of what they might be planning now...

And another thing... S-E just publicly came out and said they don't want any of the three console makers to be too powerful this upcoming generation, didn't they? I guess this doesn't apply to portables?

Aw boo, why no FF this time? :( I also hope Jessica isn't the only DQ character. It would've made alot more sense to go with general Nintendo characters (not just Mario), DQ, and FF. Meh... in the end it's just fanservice anyway. :)
