The Simpsons Movie trailer ahoy!
#1

Oh the awkwardness in going from Moe boasting that it's in "2-D" and then cutting to some heavily computer-assisted shots. |

... unfortunately looks much more indicative of later Simpsons seasons then the golden era simpsons.
Of course I can't imagine a golden era Simpsons turned into a film spectacle. The bastards should've made a futurama movie instead. I hate you assholes! |

If you think the Simpsons died after season 7 then it appears as though you won't like this movie.
I'm still holding out a shrib of hope actually because it some of the classic writers are involved...It's just a trailer, after all; maybe it will surprise me. But I'm not counting on it. |

Cranky. Very cranky.
Rather sarcastic to boot. (11-13-2006,

The first season was kind of a wash) through 9 (9 being the absolute last season that had some classic episodes that I'd count), much less the 2-7 stuff. Hopefully whoever's writing will remember that it's not supposed to be a cartoon, but I doubt that'll happen. |

Futurama has been bought by Comedy Central, and new episodes will start airing in late 2007 or 2008, actually. So there's still hope!
WTF I posted mine like 15 minutes ago but thanks to fourum downtime Anihawk beats me by a minute. |

Well, I've mad over 3 million bucks on it in HSX, so I'm all for a Simpsons movie! I'm undecided if I think it actually can make that much though since the ratings for the show havent been that great for quite awhile at this point.

There wasn't anything subtle about that trailer. I thought the whole "Simpsons Movie.... in 2D!" thing was kind of funny, even though they betrayed it a second later, but it's just a joke. The wrecking bit was really lame but I'll see the movie and enjoy it, I'm sure (I still enjoy the show don't ban me).
