you have to understand the only reason they've done this is to piss YOU off.

:lol

not pissed off or anything.

but i know in fighting games, usually graphics are the best over an action game for example.

and Wii can do much more than this. way much more. thats the reason i made my post.

if i am ok with this, then lets accept super nintendo graphics on Wii for full priced game. or lets accept playstation 1 game on ps3 as full priced game. :/

They should remake whole or at least partial games like Super Mario Land and stuff like that for the solo-modus, but it's Nintendo it won't happen...

Counter Strike released in 99 as beta retail 2000 and is still the most played Multiplayer FPS game ever.

The freeware fan-made MarioWar game I find to be far more intense and better than Smash Brothers. I'd love to see it sort of absorbed into Brawl, a sort of fast paced "Jump on heads" mode.

improved? yeah i think so. not much but yup. its improved alright.

however. this doesnt even push 10% of the Wii power assuming Wii is as powerful as xbox 1 if not more.

give it up. The series has never been about the graphics or fur shading. It's been about the fun shading.

We get it, you're pissed because Fox doesn't have fur despite you claiming he had it in the first game. The graphics are undeniably better and this easily proves the Wii is stronger than the Xbox. Show me an Xbox game with similar looking graphics that runs a smooth 60fps. If there are some there aren't many, and considering that in Smash there are 4 high poly models while in most games only the main character has a decent model this makes it even clearer this is above Xbox

I believe that is the Japanse name for SSBBrawl.

Btw, Brawl looks exceptionally better than Melee.. but whatever.

What's with that video. It says it requires Flash Player 8, and I have 9, can't I play the video with a newer version or what?

Erms, that's odd, since I have the PAL version and works just fine. A number appears beside your avatar. You have to turn it on in the options menu.

please dont bring the xbox or whatever console to this. i am not planing to get into fight.

and i didnt claim the orginal game on GC had fur. i said last gen consoles used to have fur [ aka conker or whatever its name on xbox 1. and that wasnt even a fighting game ] so at least, i would expect this much on improved system like Wii

but you know what. i would rather burn my self rather than arguing with nintendo fanboys. i made my comment. and i am out of this thread.

AND THERE IT IS. "I made a bad point, and now that it has been thrown back in my face, I will resort to ol' faithfull"

It has to be Nintendo fanboys. There is no way it could possibly be that the graphics are better then the previous game, and it runs at 60fps.

Ah I see, thanks. I thought it was the name for both the game and the site (which would thus have the same name as the game). But I was wrong :)

Fighting games don't have better graphics only because they're fighting games. There are only two playable characters and generally there isn't anything else big going besides the battle and some background animation. SSBM supported up to 6 simultaneous fighters(only 1P in some special stages. In multiplayer and in most single player battles, there were only up to four at a time), and then there were the items and the background animation.

Also, SSBM's camera usually stays at a much bigger distance from the action than most fighting game's. SSBM can hardly be compared to a fighting game as far as system resources go. Potentially, there's too much going on.

Regarding Brawl, so far, I'm just happy they don't seem to be reusing any N64 assets.

I'm scared about the lack of characters being shown and that they'll go back on the rumoured 40-character number.

Unless they're going to be making half of them secret, which would just be dumb.

They made nearly half of the SSBM character secret. They'll probably do the same here. I'm thinking Nintendo will show off the characters available at the start (say 15-20 characters), then Famitsu will get an exclusive on the unlockables.

Well, they did show 5 new characters in the very first trailer.. (namely Snake, Pit, Zero Suit Samus, Meta Knight and Wario).

I wonder why they haven't showed some other characters already. Donkey Kong, Luigi etc. I hope a lot of the "old" crew will be shown in the next trailer, along with a couple surprises (new characters).

Both versions are "MIDI" I think - this one is only a different arrangement. There's absolutely nothing wrong with MIDI, it's the standard for music production. It's also very flexible and very well suited for games, as it allows for certain effects simply not possible with pre-recorded music - dynamic, randomized or content dependent rearrangements for example. Too bad that such effects are rarely used...

It wouldn't be too strange. SSBM had 26 playable characters but only the 14 starters were revealed before the game's launch, and they even kept the Zelda half of the Zelda/Sheik character hidden until close to the launch.

More than half of the stages (the second stage of each series + the secret ones) also were kind of "hidden" until close to the game's launch date, even the default ones, (there were a few scenes of them shown in the trailers, but they didn't appear in any official lists or playable demos).

If someone's favorite character is taken out of SSBB, someone's gonna bitch.

If wavedashing is gone, a lot of people are going to bitch.

Basically, SSBM was perfect for some people, and SSBB will **** that up for them, and they'll whine. Whoo, can't wait for THAT thread...

And this is supposed to be a 5-years-leap (Feb 2001 for SMBM if I remember well...) in computing power and programming abilities? Thit shit is just unjustifiable, for God's shake. Nintendo is aiming for the weakest visual improvement ever made between two generations of consoles. And people even dare to consider it as something positive.

Do us all a favour, and shut the hell up. Everyone else has accepted the fact its graphically less powerful. Just live with it and enjoy the damn games you whinge babies.

No one considers it a positive. (Well, we might have had Nintendo not screwed over the pricing). But if you're only complaining about it now, it's time for you to hurry up and join November 2006 like the rest of us.
