You can only come away from watching that with more respect for Jimmy Carter. He handled that inbred retard just about as calmly as possible and came out looking the better man.
How does not blindly supporting Israel have anything to do with being an anti-semite? Where do these freaks get their propaganda? |

Wow. How the **** was that being owned? Go to any of the tens od thousands of conservative/neocon blog sites on the net, and youll find the same ****ing talking points being plastered there. Odds are the vast majority are racist, bigoted, inbred pricks, so its sad Jimmy Carter had to even listen to that bullshit. I respect Carter, almost more than any other US president.
But yeah, if you believed the bullshit and vitriol that the caller spewed, then I guess Carter got owned. If you took it for the bullshit that it was, then it was nothing more than the assinine rantings of neocon (Probably a zionist, or at the very least a staunch backer of Israel from the predictable 'anti-semite' comment) pretending to understand two shits about the world, instead of accepting the fact that all these venomous neocons do is vomit over themselves when they speak about world affairs. Carter has done more (or at least has tried) good in this world than any of that breed will ever dream of doing. The man speaks out on occasion on behalf of Palestinians and their human rights- do you not expect him to get these types of comments? But the fact that you believe he got 'owned' says alot about you.

carter/iranian hostage crisis< bush/iraq
what are some positive things that bush has done during his term? I'm not saying there aren't any, just saying that for whatever reason none come to mind. I can immediately think of a few good things that carter has done. |

I heard this crap listening to Glen Beck (I know.. boo hiss) on the way home from work. I thought it was terribly disrespectful to 1) a president and 2) a man in his waning years. Jesus, set aside the politics for a bit and let this poor guy bask in the fact that he is not the worst president of all time anymore.

I dont see how anyone can call Carter an anti-zionist.
The guy negotiated peace between Egypt and Israel. Go read history books for what the 20 years preceeding the peace accords was like. In fact, Egypt was the first arab country to recognize Israel as a country.. I also dont see how he is one of the worst presidents of all time. The Iranian hostage crisis wasnt handled well, but its not like the CIA was trafficing weapons to the Iranians to fund genocide in central america on his watch. |

Tim Wilson: "You know, Jimmy does alot now, what with Habitat for Humanity and dealing with difficult foreign powers. It's a hell of alot better than what he did back as president, and he's loved for it now. 'You know, I hated my wife during marriage, but I love her as ex'."
Love the damage control all round in this thread; classic thread derailing. |

Maybe this would be a better link for you though:

<< Results 1 - 100 of about 1,900,000 for bush hitler -Prescott -Goldberg -moveon -matrix. >> Keep the winnowing coming, eventually we might get below 1.5 million results. Or maybe you have been sufficiently owned yet?

I will never understand why this man gets so much hate. I think just about any President would have lasted only one term at the time he was in office. The circumstances were pretty dire. From Nixon to George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter is probably the most genuine President this country has had.

Triumph: I wanted to talk about Jimmy Carter and didn't feel the need to create another thread. Sorry.

And the second thing is that he is not afraid to speak his mind on things that may not be that popular. The poor guy is just trying to address some problems in Israel and people are calling him an anti-semite, when in reality, if you watch some interviews that are online, he stresses that both sides are to blame. I don't see how he could be doing anything damaging to Israel. The country has a lot of support here in the United States, and I don't see that support going anywhere. Carter knows he's in the minority. I think he's just trying to spark some serious debate and staying away from blindly following a specific position. Considering his age, you've got to admire the guy for remaining so very passionate about issues such as this. |
