Wii Wireless Sensor Available
#1
I saw this in a different thread, but thought it deserved its own. I know everyone knows you can DIY but those are hard and ugly, there is a website that sells a pretty legit product, plus it matches the Wii well.
I might have to buy one: http://www.wirelesssensorbar.com/ |

That thing's a beast..
They should just make a wireless adapter that you can plug in the 1st party sensor bar into. |

Has it been discovered whether or not the official bar's light pulses? I mentioned it in another wireless bar thread, but hadn't heard either way yet. If N was smart they would allow the lights to pulse if tracking becomes an issue due to other IR light interfereing.

Too big and ugly. 48 hour battery life sucks. 9V sucks.
Why don't they just release a sensor bar that can plug into a power outliet? That way it doesn't need to be close the wii and won't use up batteries. |

I really dont mind it being wireless or not, even if they made one you could plug into the wall that had a really long cord would work just fine for those of us with projectors. The problem with these wireless ones is that once the battery starts to go I imagine the signal would become extremely faint and screw up your play.

9.0 Performance
Provided the same accuracy as the official Nintendo Wii sensor bar. 4.0 Build Quality Somewhat roughly contructed in garage-factory style. Critical connections are well soldered, but external aesthetics look homebrew. 9.0 Ease of Use Install a batter, turn on with simple button switch. 6.0 Value $24.99 is a little high considering the simple design and construction. 7.5 OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average) http://gear.ign.com/articles/751/751096p1.html |
