Hard to make a post like this about the DS considering development time is much shorter. But even with whats announced this year seems pretty hot, was really happy with the DS in 2005 but less so in 2006, hopefully it will return to its previous 2005 glory with games like Zelda, Pokemon and all the titles coming from SE(prays most of those will come here).

Don't forget about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates.
http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ffcc/ 2007 looks like another very strong year for the DS. |

CDV has Panzer Tactics coming soon, Ubisoft has The Settlers... all those, and we've also got Anno 1701, Sinking Islands, Undercover... Activision's made two good exclusive Tony Hawk games, and BioWare is working on an original RPG for the system. |

I hope we get another Castlevania. :( How well did PoR sell?
Also, here's some games that are coming out in Japan but aren't confirmed for US (since the first post is a list of games for the US): Professor Reiton and the Mysterious Village Itadaki Street DS Front Mission the First Luminous Arc Atelier Lise Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Gyakuten Saiban IV Not to mention... you forgot Chibi Robo DS, Custom Robo, and Rune Factory, which are releasing in the US this year ![]() Is it wrong that Spectrobes looks kinda cool to me? :\ I guess it just bothers me that Disney is publishing. :s |

And wasn't it play.com that listed "Giftpia"? @CurseoftheGods Yes, four player online mode. |

So maybe you should try again, eh? |

No Professor Layton screens were posted. Level 5's first self-published title:
Professor Layton ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A point and click adventure/puzzle game. Seems to include Miyazaki-esque fully animated cutscenes. The trailer on the official site reminds me of Clue. The site has an English nav bar and the trailer is easy to get to. Last edited by Dali : 01-20-2007 at 10:09 PM. |

I'm still unclear on whether you can race your custom tracks online (instead of just sharing them), but my guess would be you couldn't. Still, the game will be amazing. |

I REALLY, REALLY hope that ASH comes out this year. Considering it will be Mistwalker's first release on a more wide-spread/popular console, this will probably be the first game that stands to make the biggest splash for them. Hopefully, the game won't disappoint.
It's a Wonderful World is on my list too. First original IP from Square Enix in who knows how long? It is definitely holding my attention. Though, on the other hand, Heroes of Mana has some attention too, if only because it's looking to be possibly the most interesting Mana-related game since SD3, in my opinion. It also helps that it returns to that specific "universe" as well. Then, there's Rockman ZX Advent. Loved the first game, and the usual order of operations for Rockman games dictates that, no matter what happens later on in the series, you can bet that number 2 in a line will definitely be a greater game than the first. Hopefully, it will be ready sooner, rather than later...I need my fix. ^_^ And finally, though it's not confirmed yet, I'm pretty much calling it: one of the two CV games announced as of now is probably going to be a new DS game. Since it's going to be one of the games surrounding the infamous "1999 Battle", I hope that IGA and his boys will pull out all the stops. After all, with these two games would pretty much effectively mark the end of an era where we should expect to see Drac as the end boss without fail. Furthermore, I'm hoping that future games in the series will FINALLY take the series in a fresh, new direction, because the SOTN formula is getting tired. |
