According to some undisclosed Sony source this site contacted today... latest rumors are true, Ready at Dawn started working on "God of War PSP" after "Daxter" was completed. Official announcement to happen very soon.

Según las declaraciones que una fuente interna ha realizado a esta revista, el estudio elegido para la adaptación de la serie God of War a PSP ha sido Ready at Dawn, quedando totalmente confirmados los rumores que saltaron a la red a finales de enero. Como ya adelantó David Jaffe el pasado verano, la serie tenía muchas posibilidades de debutar en PlayStation Portable, momento que llegará a finales de 2007. Se desconoce si el nuevo título tomará forma de precuela, apareciendo Kratos todavía como guerrero espartano o si por el contrario, arracará con él convertido en Dios de la Guerra.

Ready at Dawn comenzó a trabajar en God of War PSP tras la finalización de su debut en la portátil con Daxter, un título que recibió excelentes críticas. La ubicación del estudio, situado en Santa Ana, California, favorece la comunicación con los creadores de God of War, afincados en Santa Mónica, apenas a 70 kilómetros de distancia. Es presumible que a lo largo del presente mes SCEA realice el anuncio oficial del título junto a las primeras imágenes.

On a more serious note, the unveiling of this game is one of the strongest cockteases in recent history.

They need to ease down, don't whore out the license too fast. Look at Silent Hill for reference.

I bet that HL PSP game from Jaffe's team (the one that's political and suppose to make you cry) was just God of War PSP in disguise but then they had to can it because of whatever reasons...now the project is handed over to RAD to complete the game

Well, I always wonder if these things are good. It seems like it continues the trend of PSP getting games that are really console titles, not handheld titles, but then again I love console experiences on the go... so I wonder how they will modify this to work well in shortbursts.

my second concern is about whoring... God of War is new, I hope Sony doesn't go overboard already

Bit disappointing to have another PS2 port.

Still, it's a great game and really talented dev working on it.

well, judging by RAD's other games, this wouldn't be a port. It'd be an original game in the series.

Maybe, I think it should transfer over pretty well. If anybody can do it, it's RAD. My only worry is the story. Don't **** that up and I'm one happy GOW fan. :)

This was cleared a while back, this is no rumout. RAD closed the deal to do God of War PSP (original game, not a port) around E3 2006, this is nothing new. It just hasn't officially been announced.

If true, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a port. Daxter was built from the ground up as a PSP game and I'd think RAD would give GoWPSP the same treatment. Not only that, but the story could be completely different.

As for bringing the console experience on the go; the reason those types of games suck is because they're watered down (Graphically, Aurally, etc.) and the controls don't translate at all. With GoW (or DMC) the controls are perfectly suited for a single analog stick and, again, because it's RAD I don't think they would simply port over an engine (instead opting to build it from the ground up to be superior than the PS2 engine.)

As a side note: I would probably take a Shadow of the Colossus remake over a GoW game, even if the storyline in the GoW game was different/new. SotC is just so awesome (and would work with one analog too.)

Holy Shit! Where did this come from? I need to keep up to date! If this aint a port, then AWESOME. RAD rocked Daxter, and whatever their next game is, its a buy for me.
