I am not quite sure why everyone is worked up about this game. It is just sprites and 3d evironments. Considering the limitations of the ds this looks quite good.

Agreed! That is so much better looking, more enemies on screen, the camera is bound to be better (being isometric), and just looks much more playable. The new version looks like... looks like... um a bad thing.

Upon further thought, the 3D engine reminds me of the nightmarish Tenchu: Dark Secret.
