On topic: great news!
Off topic: I didn't want to bump any of the old Ouendan/EBA threads, so I'm asking this here instead. I guess it's a pretty strange question and might sound stupid or unimportant to some, but where is your hand and how do move it when playing Ouendan/EBA? I have finished both games on all four difficulties, but lately I can't concentrate on the game, I'm distracted by thinking of how my hand and the DS interact and how friction might hinder my movements. I'm playing with the first model DS (not lite) and the little finger of the hand with which I control the stylus (the left for me as I'm left-handed, the right for most of you) is pressed against the DS while I play while the other hand is holding it. I move the stylus mostly by moving my fingers. I guess this the standard way (is it?), but I have to move my hand, too, to adjust to the far left and far right sides of the screen. The contact between back of the hand/little finger and DS seems to slow me down and I blame it for some of my misses. I tried a few alternatives like: - no contact between hand/little finger and DS, just pointing from above - not holding the DS in the hand but lying it down on a table, while the arm of the stylus hand is resting on the table with the elbow/forearm/not at all But I still haven't found the "perfect" position. I guess it's quite strange to think about such things and I hope I haven't veered towards gamefaqs territory with this post, but maybe someone can give me some tips. |

Awesome (and unexpected) news.
Acrylamid, I had some problems with hand positioning as well. Playing with my hand directly over the screen resulted in being more accurate at hitting the notes, but it also partially blocked part of the screen. Trying to hold my hand more on the side of the DS let me see all of the screen better, but it made me less accurate with my hits. *shrug* |

In 2007... the Ouendan are back bitches!
![]() Just when you think you can't love the DS more, they announce a sequel to its greatest game. I absolutely cannot wait to see the track list, because there are about a million songs I can think of that I'd love to see included. (I know I'll never get any Sonim love in the game, but god I'd love to see some Sonim love in the game.) |

Regarding the first game's poor performance in Japan: was it advertised much, or at all?
With all the popular music in there you'd think it'd have sold, but if no one knew about it it couldn't have. Anyway, here's to hoping that Nintendo has something up its sleeve to help it sell better this time around. |
