New Wii VC Titles! ZAMN!!! (Oh yea, titles for other people too) #1

This may have been posted in that giant thread, but it totally deserves its own:

Quote:
Excitebike - Wii, Rated E (Nintendo of America)

Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Wii, Rated E10+ (Konami)

Castlevania - Wii, Rated E (Konami)

Gradius III - Wii, Rated E (Konami)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Wii, Rated E (Konami)
Have been rated by the ESRB. Note: There hasn't been a release schedule, these are just "coming soon" titles.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/766/766376p1.html

ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS!!

Buy 5 copies each so they bring back this series, k please?
Thanks.

Best old school co-op game... ever.

p.s. Link below (the poster, not the uh, URL) also said this:
Quote:
Sega also sent out a press release earlier today announcing Sword of Vermilion, Vectorman, Sonic Spinball, and Beyond Oasis will soon be available.
But don't let that detract you from the amazingness of the ZAMN news.

wow, Konami with the support. Perhaps since it has been a good 12 years or so, I am finally ready to beat the first Ninja Turtles. Wish me luck

You would need the ring of power to complete that task.

Anyone know how liscensing will effect these vC gmaes in the future? i.e., if Konami loses the TMNT liscense, will TMNT be pulled from the VC? and if so, would you be able to redownload it had you already purchased it?

I'll support Sega for Sword of Vermilion.

I do hope though, that Sega offers Herzog Zwei (aka the best Genesis game ever made, aka Genesis CRACK, the first RTS game of any significance, made well before Command & Conquer and Dune II) and I hope it happens very soon.

Hudson offered it's wonderful turn-based Military Madness,
so IMO Sega needs to bring its RTS rival to VC.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 was a terrible game, especially compared to Turtles in Time. I'll wait for the latter.

the reason that's in interesting question is because i don't think they DO have the license anymore. isn't it ubisoft who hold that nowadays?

Well - Ubisoft is publishing the new TMNT game. So, it would appear that it does not affect the old games.

No, not even close. The earliest any of these would come out would be in March. All of them will probably be out by August, I would imagine.

Also, the Australian videogame ratings board has re-rated Legend of the Mystical Ninja for the SNES, so the Konami love is indeed strong.

Hey Capcom, Square, SNK, etc. See what Konami is doing here? It's very very good... and is also going to make them a lot of money for very minimal investment. You should follow their example and flood the VC with classics. That is all, thanks.

And I second the call for Herzog Zwei. Some friends in my neighborhood had it and it looked seriously fun but they were dicks and never let me play. :(

Can't wait for Zombies--or Legend of the Mystical Ninja, lest I forget. I'd probably get Vectorman too, but when I think about the existence of the Genesis Collection, I just can't justify it. (Same reason I didn't pick up Sonic or Ecco, really.)
