I had trouble getting into the GC version, but that was more because it was ****ing impossible to get enough shit together for multi. I'm highly interested in this DS version because it takes all that bullshit out of the equation.

I mean, forreals, get more friends. I have a pretty reduced number of close friends, and we have three GBAs and cables for FF:CC. And Zelda FSA. And most of us have a DS.

But this is a handheld game, and something tells me the full experince is not going to be single cart only. All my freinds would have to buy the game as well and then all come over to my house just to play multiplayer. Its just asking too much :(

My problem isn't friends in general, but friends that game regularly. I have been able to convince my brothers to pick up dslites, though, so maybe there's hope for me with this game yet...

We should start a petition demanding they include online play.
And state that its unfair to bring the game to the DS as well, so were going to boycott all squareenix games.
I was really looking forward to this game until they said it wouldn't be online. Hopefully the Wii version has online play. Oh well, there's always Dragon Quest 9 to look forward to.
