Exactly. It defeats the whole purpose of having waggle moves in the first place. If they get something as simple as that wrong I'm inclined to say the game as a whole will suck.
Yes, because they look THAT bad.Originally Posted by brandonh83
PS3 version for me. I love the Wii (grrrr...) but god damn it developers stop half-assing the graphics, I know it's capable of much, much much better. I'm in the "graphics aren't a big deal" camp but not the "Wii games should look like Atari 2100" camp.

For all we know the Atari 2100 could be a BEAST.Originally Posted by omg rite

Why the **** would developers release screenshots in 480i? The game looks loads better when running in 480p. What you cant see here is the volumetric fog.Originally Posted by Fuzzy

You're confusing the screenshot I posted with the Wii version of the game. The Atari 2600 doesn't support 480p.Originally Posted by moku

I dunno about that but they did the awesome Spiderman games of the N64/PS1 generationOriginally Posted by neojubei
Wow that video is awful. I am glad Treyarch is doing the xbox 360 and PS3 games and Vicarious Visions is doing the Wii version. wasn't is Vicarious Visions that did the horrible spider-man 2 for the PC?

Because Peter Parker has to push a button to sling his webs too, remember, he has WEB SHOOTERS. Oh wait, this is the movie, no he doesn't. = p At least the next-gen versions look awesome... :DOriginally Posted by Shaheed79

You work for Activision don't you.Originally Posted by Darunia
Why are you guys complaining about having to press a button? Spiderman has to do a press motion too when he wants too shoot web. It's intuitive I tells ya :(

it doesn't matter who I work for, what matters is that you guys are being part of the problem again. Stop being part of the problem :(Originally Posted by Shaheed79

Then why flick your wrist then? Whats the point? Did EA make you press a button when you choke the life out of somebody in Blackhand? No. You did it with your hands like a real man not some button pressin retard.Originally Posted by Darunia

It's almost like they want you to confirm that you've done the motion. Maybe as some meager attempt to make the player feel as if web-based solute is shooting out of their palm..you know...in the form of a button confirmation.Originally Posted by Shaheed79

P.S
Whatever man...as long as I can piledrive baddies off the empire state and take the long route to the hospital for those in need of immediate medical attention.
christ... because Spidey has to move his wrist too when shooting web, he can't just don't move right? The only thing that would make these controls more intuitive is that actual fluid would come out of the wiimote. It's as close as you will ever get to web slingingg.Originally Posted by Shaheed79

Normally I wouldn't want to kick something while it's down but honestly it's just approaching "crap". It still has some ways to go before it completely gets there.
PS3 here. Playing as Goblin, even if it's using waggle, puts it over for me.Originally Posted by Dr_Cogent

I just don't see how its any different than the other spiderman games. Unless the controls NAIL it, and I mean NAIL IT (in the sense EA's Mafia did) then I can't see this game doing much.
P.S. I will probably buy the 360 version :D
