Quicktime pisses me off. Is there a reason why whenever I try watching something with it, it freezes every 15 seconds or so?

This looks like crap to me. Die Hard was great because it broke tons of cliches and was (relatively) down-to-earth and gritty. It also had tons of wit and some great characters.
This movie looks like the opposite of that. It looks like it's throwing in tons of generic-action-movie tropes and isn't even pulling them off in a clever way. And frankly, the over-the-top stuff looks pretty boring too. |

As a fan of the Die Hard movies (like I'm sure everybody else here is), I'm unimpressed. The whole appeal of McClane is that he's always the underdog, the same poor bastard just keeps arriving at the wrong place at the wrong time, yet somehow finds a way to **** everyone.
In this it looks like he's looking for trouble, because they've turned him into a Schwarzenegger-like, invunerable protagonist. One of the best parts of the original Die Hard was when the bad guys shot out the glass, and Mcclane had to walk on broken glass. Broken glass isn't an obstacle to typical action heroes, but in McClane's case, he's awesome because he walks across it anyway, and we know it's hurting him. In Die Hard 4 it looks like they're doing to McClane what they did to Wolverine in X3. |

that's possible, scullibrundo, but I don't think people should rush to judgement off of the trailer. I could see how all this actually happens far later in the movie after a shit ton of set up. Like it's actiony but I don't think it necessarily is enough to rule out that it'll be a good flick.
