I'm not posting the scans directly so I should be safe.
Yeah, this makes no sense.Originally Posted by ant1532

Why would Bizarre, which MS owns (I think), license the rights to one of their hit games to Nintendo?
bizarre is independent, they're also working on a multiplatform game with segaOriginally Posted by Costanza

MS does not own Bizarre. Not sure what the status of Geo Wars is though, since Microsoft published it.Originally Posted by Costanza

Ah, ok.Originally Posted by GhaleonEB

So? Surely they could license it out to Nintendo who could then assign the dev to an internal studio or one of their partners? I don't think Bizarre or GW are owned by MS, so provided Nintendo and Bizarre could agree terms, GW on Wii/DS seems plausible enough...Originally Posted by ant1532

This would mean some kind of partnership between Bizarre and Kuju by the sounds of it. If they're right on the "same developer as Batallion Wars" handling it anyway. Now that makes me quite suspicious about this story, but they're both British developers, and the UK development community might see more and more of such things.Originally Posted by The M.O.B

So far this is the only source. Many others with the mag are also saying the same thing.
It'd be completely out of character for Bizarre, who've yet to make a game for a Nintendo system as far as I'm aware, and have been nothing but pro Microsoft of late...
But I do remember there being Bizarre Creations "Revolution" rumours. And this could be a cool thing to have on that download service. If there was one XBLA game worth coveting in the early days, GW was it.
Nintendo Power guy 1: Hey guys we're all losing our jobs anyway so in our last issue let's pull some shit and see if anyone believes it.
Nintendo Power guy 2: What do you have in mind?
Nintendo Power guy 1: I don't know, what's one of the best games for the 360?
Nintendo Power guy 2: Geometry Wars?
Nintendo Power guy 1: Great, it's coming to DS. And it's being made by the Battalion Wars guys lol
Nintendo Power guy 2: lol
Nintendo Power guy 1: lol
Uh, it definitely is not.Originally Posted by Bildi

Well if they were going to do that, they should have just confirmed Final Fantasy VII, VI, and XIII for the Wii. :|Originally Posted by BrodiemanTTR
Seriously though, this reads like an April Fools joke. Maybe if it was Nintendo working with Bizzarre I could see it, but Kuju? What?

Bite your tongue! Geometry Wars is easily the best XBLA game.Originally Posted by Bildi

OMG, new GAF meme!
Geometry Wars requires a lot of precision and concentration...if I have to point at where I'm shooting it'll ruin the game.
I love Geo wars, but I'm worried about the idea of forcing waggle/touch screen on it. However, like others said, it would be a great way to launch independent, original games to the VC.
Also -- about the admittedly strange idea that this would be a Kuju / Bizarre collaboration of some sort -- Boom Boom Rocket was a Bizarre / EA (Pogo.com) collaboration. EA went to them with the design idea, Bizarre got to work.
the ds version should require vista just to make it fair
No, that wouldn't make sense, there is no version of Vista for sale. Unless Kuju is porting one.Originally Posted by Odysseus
