I'm wondering if this will be a retail game or if it will be a part of that new game download service that compliments the Virtual Console on the Wii. Apparently Nintendo is really taking it seriously the next couple of months.

I don't buy it. But if it comes out I will buy it.

So? Surely they could license it out to Nintendo who could then assign the dev to an internal studio or one of their partners? I don't think Bizarre or GW are owned by MS, so provided Nintendo and Bizarre could agree terms, GW on Wii/DS seems plausible enough...

So far this is the only source. Many others with the mag are also saying the same thing.

This would mean some kind of partnership between Bizarre and Kuju by the sounds of it. If they're right on the "same developer as Batallion Wars" handling it anyway. Now that makes me quite suspicious about this story, but they're both British developers, and the UK development community might see more and more of such things.

It'd be completely out of character for Bizarre, who've yet to make a game for a Nintendo system as far as I'm aware, and have been nothing but pro Microsoft of late...

But I do remember there being Bizarre Creations "Revolution" rumours. And this could be a cool thing to have on that download service. If there was one XBLA game worth coveting in the early days, GW was it.

So, what happened to Bizarre wanting to give the game away for free only to have MS stop them? Have they seen the error in their ways? Should we lament this? Also, can DS do sparks?

It'll only be good if it uses the classic/Gamecube controller.

Geometry Wars requires a lot of precision and concentration...if I have to point at where I'm shooting it'll ruin the game.

I love Geo wars, but I'm worried about the idea of forcing waggle/touch screen on it. However, like others said, it would be a great way to launch independent, original games to the VC.

Bizarre wouldn't talk about PSN when Kikizo pressed them on it in April, I have a feeling they have PS3 stuff in the works too.

Also -- about the admittedly strange idea that this would be a Kuju / Bizarre collaboration of some sort -- Boom Boom Rocket was a Bizarre / EA (Pogo.com) collaboration. EA went to them with the design idea, Bizarre got to work.

No, that wouldn't make sense, there is no version of Vista for sale. Unless Kuju is porting one.

Mm. What's interesting there is that it doesn't mention downloading the game for the Wii, and that together with the "extensive single-player campaign" suggests the possibility of a retail release.
