But my favorite R-Type is one me and my brother played all the time: R-Type Leo for the arcade... it was terrific. Soundtrack was great too.

R-Type Final is one of my all time favourite games. Certainly my favourite shmup. Yet this news does nothing for me, as it's probably just a PSP version of the totally pointless, poorly implemented AI mode from Final. An R-Type game where you have no control over where your ship moves, when it fires, or pretty much anything else.

If I'm wrong, and, well, you know, you can actually move your ships about shoot stuff and that, it could indeed be textbook awesome.
