Seeing as there are so many DJ Max fans i'm surprised i haven't seen anything about this here.

For those who don't know DJ Max originally appeared on the PC. The game kinda works like a MMO and its free to play, although some songs are premium and you have to pay for it. It supports battle games for up to 6 players so i thought we could maybe do some games :)

I honestly never tried :p There is an option to change the keys but i'm not sure it detects controllers, but as a last resort you can always use the joy2key utility.

Welcome to Asia. Almost all games here are online/free - /w premium plans - otherwise its teh pirated.

Just tried it with Joy2Key and it worked great Linkzg.

good to know, I might borrow my friends beatmania controller while I lend him my GH controller

I've got a beatmania-esque itch to scratch so I signed up and started downloading.

So far, I'm getting into it pretty easy, though adjusting to using it with an upside down beatmania controller is something else. I still keep moving to scratch when I see the red notes.

it doesnt work ,the download link says something then sends me to a login. creating account is wierd at second step it takes me to this page with a scroll down thing that doesnt work and when i click it says something

Go into Free mode, and click the wrench, you'll see A-type, B-type and ????? (I think), ???? is the custom controls.

got it, how many songs are there total? so all you get are a few songs? i only see a few bolded and the only ones playable..

You unlock more as you level up. There's actually surprising amount free. You also unlock the harder charts of the songs as you level up.

The hardest thing is getting the proper key setup. I haven't gotten one that works for me yet.

I'm using the default D F SPACE J K my self. I tried it with a PS2 controller and i sucked terribly xD

I use the A-type with a IIDX controller upside down that works well enough.

When you're selecting a song, click the third tab, all the way on the right. That will filter out all the non-premium songs.

Just finished doing some battle games. 3rd place seems to like me :p
