Done via trading in Japan, North America, and between the two regions. Numbers are expected to continue on, especially after the European release in July.

nice.. the worst trade i've done was yesterday, i traded my lvl 8 Modest Milotic for a lvl 1 Japanese Hipposomething .. that was bad.. ut i got good ones like trading my Budew for a lvl 1 Chimchar.

For the inevitable third version they ought to include multiple language Pokedex entries for every Pokemon to encourage true worldwide trades.

I wonder how many of them are duped Deoxys'. Me and a friend saw about 17 of them constantly being traded off to Starlys in quick succession.
