Chris Kohler, Kotaku, 1UP & PS3 Fanboy (and prob everyone) have received invites to what looks to be the unveiling of Killzone 2 just one hour after the Microsoft E3 Keynote presentation starts on July 10th, 8:30pm. ![]() ![]()

In any case, it seems like Sony are feeling pretty confident about what they have and it seems like it could be their biggest software reveal of the show. Well, they had better hope that Killzone spanks Halo 3 then.

I'm not usually good at shooters but I can't wait!.
They must be confident if they're showing it straight after. |

July 9th is the night that the servers must be in tip-top form GAF - don't let me down, whoever's responsible!
MS keynote + Killzone 2 finally being unveiled is going to make for a good day - I just hope I have time to enjoy it all! |

I hope we see it being played, instead of "just" a gamplay video.
...Like how Dylan Jobe played Warhawk and Ted Price played Resistance at the E3'06 Sony Press Conference... or how Cliff Bleszinski played Gears at MS Press Conference. I want to see that! (or more) |

All signs point to a good showing because why else Sony would push something into the spotlight. Can't wait for the comparison pics and sales predictions between halo 3 and killzone.

E3 is so much fun! This kind of thing just makes me love it.
I hope gametrailers or someone else is allowed to post the video that night. |

Killzone PS3 will be the best FPS ever made!
The Next-Gen will only begin after Killzone is released. :) The hype is affecting my brain. |

All the links I find say the Microsoft conference is 8:30pm. Anyone have a link stating it is in the AM?

I bet KZ2 will look very good, perhaps on the cutting edge near what we've seen of CoD4 and such. It won't look like the render though, and that's going to cause a lot of bannings.

All Sony can do is create the best game they possibly can and the rest is for history to decide. ...and didn't mention the graphics on the BETA once :P |

I do hope the developers are doing their own thing, rather than gunning for Bungie's juggernaut. |

Shouldn't the goal be to make it more fun than Halo 3, instead of better looking?

I'd be exited about this news if I didn't know that GAF would be crashing all night of the 10th. Everyone has waited for this day since E3 '05.

My bet: Killzone 2 will have better detail on objects, but AI will be uninspired and scale will be traditional corridor-style shooter ala CoD. Halo 3 will not have the same detail, but will have a great lighting model and combat scale that rivals most other shooters with some more amazing AI. Fanboys will deride and laud both, and BishopTL will go home content with the bannings.
