It's cool that they're working on one of their own non-.hack IPs though. I figure they could use a break on that for now or even for good? But it'd be great if they made another game within the .hack universe that isn't "The World" related.

Yeah, with my hopes of any new Xenosaga games dashed for now, Im really wanting this to be a .hack game! However id prefer a single player RPG to an MMO.

when i interviewed hiroshi matsuyama and daisuke uchiyama it was definitely true that they weren't going to allow them to make a TC sequel. however, that was E3 2003, during the release period of the original .hack:

This is a fun one... since Uchiyama-san won't let Matsuyama-san make sequels to Tail Concerto or Silent Bomber [two flopped PSone games by CyberConnect 2] maybe CC2 should make Tail Bomber.

it really does look like a Tail Concerto/.hack crossover thing. it would make sense with that interview in the GU thread that the director or whoever he was (can't remember) didn't want to make volumes for the same game and keep it contained on one disc/box.

it would make sense if they did a crossover thing and it was only for one game. It'd be a pseudo Tail Concerto sequel that would work around it not being a true Tail Concerto game...

it would be interesting, definitely...i wonder what elements they'll really keep from what we've seen in .hack series though other than the MMO thing.

also, the picture itself LOOKS like a MMO in itself. i mean, what is it supposed to be? A town? Certainly doesn't look like a regular town you'd see in Tail Concerto imo. It looks more like a .hack town in that sense.
