The latest PSW has long reviews of Heavenly Sword and Lair. But all you want to know is the scores, huh? Well here you go...

Heavenly Sword - 8

+ Stunning Visuals
+ Inspired use of the Sixaxis
+ Superb combat system
- Over too soon

Lair - 8

+ Always so much going on
+ Stunning attention to detail
+ Intuitive control set-up
- Not the longest of games

I have the magazine so I can confirm this 100%:

These aren't just rush-job reviews. The HS review is 8 pages long - and PSW got the exclusive on both games.

Their problem with HS is that "It's just too damn short".

people PSW has little legitimacy...probably even less than the polish mags (cant comment on them)

I wonder why you made this thread, when these scores have been posted for a while..We dont really need a seperate thread for PSW...especially since its scans arent allowed.

Anyway, the justification makes it seem positive at least...they also mark pretty low

I see Heavenly Sword & Lair being 8 games that people will claim are really 9+. I think the overall package will convince people it's a 9 but the game play itself, will still be an 8.

I'm used to be subscribed to PSW. Earlier on in the mags life (about 6-7 years ago) they were pretty credible and the mags were packed with good stuff.

A complete over-reaction.

Lair has done far better than expected and HS is a decent game albeit too short. What's so bad about an 8/10 all of a sudden.

Yes... so... I don't understand why you say people jump on them because of the scores.

I personally think 8/10 is a very good score, ok the games probably are not the killer apps of the century (and I never thought they would), but they're still solid games. I consider those scores to be fair and they should be representative of the scores those games got.

Now, saying Lair is a bad gamebecause EGM gave them a 5.5 (while other reviews were good) os totally stupid IMO. Especially when this score seems to have been mainly justified by flawed controls, when many people have already said that they were nice.

They don't give an exact length. They just keep going on about how short it is. So I expect, less than 10 hours.
