Such bullshit. HL2 (and Ep1 and Ep2) looks damn nice, but there are way better looking games than that on the 360.

So devs are already hitting the ceiling of what the 360 is capable of. That's too bad, I'm sorry they can't make their true visions come to life on it.

What does that even mean? There are far, far better looking 360 games than Half-Life 2, is that 6% just so much more powerful?

So basically, the PS3's power is limitless?
It'll be very interesting to see the kinds of games PS3 devs will make.

So essentially, they're saying the Xbox 360 was pushed to 94% of it's capacity, even though no one has maxxed it yet, but the PS3 can't be defined, because no one has maxxed it yet?

interesting...I can't decide which version of this to get.
if the PS3 and 360 versions are 60fps, that'll probably rule out the PC version... |

Shit, well I can put out a big sigh of relief for the PS3 version.
![]() It would be nice if they used the SPUs though... I mean, Half-Life 2 was all about 'teh physix!' and here they have a processor to do physics stuff with... right? Anyway, if they are actually optimizing the PS3 version and it's just as good as any other version of the game... DAY ONE PURCHASE. |

So 93-94% of the 360 is only 30fps?

That would be like 1% of PS3's power, since they're not even porting the real version to the PS3.

apparently gabe hasn't seen gears of war.. or bioshock.. or resident evil 5, or the other 100 games that look way better then hl2.
Hl2 looks like an amazing set mind you, but graphics aren't the reason i'm impressed. |

What an odd statement. I can see saying 95% or 90%, but 93 to 94%? They really must have the boundaries of the 360 worked out.

To be perfectly honest, if they're not using the SPUs, then I'd be pretty worried about the PS3 version. Inferior port and all of that. As we've seen too many times, if a game doesn't make PROPER use of the PS3 architecture (i.e. using the SPUs) then it ends off worse than the 360 version.

You guys do realize that the PC gets the superior version, right? It's not like either the 360 or the PS3 is the lead platform here.

It's not just that they should be ashamed of underutilizing the PS3.
If a PC game from 2004 nearly maxes out the 360, he's either an idiot or that's pathetic. |

Valve? How bout being a little bit more specific PSU. Also isn't EA handling the PS3 version and Valve is only working on the 360 in house?
