Nintendic.comA set of new screenshots for Hudson’s Wii Sports-alike, Deca Sports, as well as a few more details on how some of them will be controlled have been uncovered. There are ten activities in all (hence the name of the game) including soccer, basketball and volleyball - the sports detailed below.
In basketball, the Wii Remote is used to pass and shoot, with a shaking motion used to carry out both moves. There’s also a mention of ‘3 items’ being introduced - power-ups, perhaps?
Beach volleyball is also controlled using shakes of the Wii Remote. From what we can gather, you’ll be able to decide on who will return the ball and with what degree of power, even before it reaches your side of the neck.
Soccer (you guessed it) also makes use of Wii Remote waggling. Our ropey Japanese translation seems to infer that the ferocity with which you shake the control will decide the power of your shot.
Deca Sports is penned down for a winter release in Japan at present. Of course, we’ll keep you up to date with any details regarding a release in the West.
