BOHICA: GT5 Prologue pricing not announced (No need for lube)
#1
dunno if this was already known or not but, I just got home from a Sony pressevent, and they announced that GT5 Prologue will be around 45 euro on BluRay, no PSN-pricing was announced though, only that it'll probably be cheaper. It will have loads of cars, 5 tracks and online play.

I'm sure those who want one will get a second job or work overtime to cover the cost of buying this game.

I know it's more than a Demo, but still, 45€ is a lot and in the end we are paying twice for the same.
But I will buy it, of course :( |

Prologue contains (much) more content than Motorstorm ever did (hell, Motorstorm wasn't even online in Japan for 6 months) and its cheaper so I'm not complaining at all.

Way too much. I learned my lesson with the GT4 version, I'll wait for the main game.

if you're going to buy this, cool, but people who'll buy this and gt5 a year later are so... ugh.

I can foresee two sorts of posts making up his thread
a) Too expensive b) But I read it was going to be free Bad Gamespot.... sticking to your story that it was going to be a free download. You should have realised something was up when no other journalist ran with the story. Clearly they were the ones listening at the conference, and you got confused and heard "Gran....Turismo....HD....Free Download....GT5:P...." |

I really don't understand the point of these releases. Aside from making tons of money, of course. But it would be pretty amazing if other companies started releasing a third of their game a year in advance for $60

I expect "prologue" to be written in the smallest most unintelligible font on the boxed edition.

It's pricey. On the one hand, you can say what Kyoufu said. It likely will have more content than a lot of retail games. That much is definitely true. On the other hand, it's a piece of a game that is definitely coming down the road a bit, so it's somewhat redundant. It's important to remember PSN pricing could be a good bit cheaper, too.
It'll sell a ton regardless. |

you're basically paying for a demo if you're buying the full game a year later.

I was under the impression this was gonna be free. Read it on some tech site which I'll be sure never to trust again.
Anyway, PSN version seems to be the way to go. |

Where is the North American release date? >:(
I'd totally pick this up. I don't think I would get the full GT5 though. $40 or bust. |
